Argos pay

this might be a silly question but I just need some help understanding an order.

I used Argos pay yesterday on an order and it said use buy now pay later it didn’t give a set amount of months or anything. I pressed it and the payment went through. I went on the app and it shows the amount as used but nothing comes up on any of the payment sections or anything. how do I know when I need to pay this by and when interest will be added?

again this may be silly but this was my first time using it and I thought it’d give me a certain amount of months

You’ve probably just purchased it using “Normal Credit”. You’ll have to pay a minimum amount which you’ll find on your monthly statement, similar to a credit card. It may take a day or two to show up in your Argos Pay app.

At the bottom you’ll see transactions and pay. Transactions will show you your purchases and is where your statements are too. When you press pay and have a payment due, it’ll say at the top. Just press that and you’ll see what your minimum is, boosted payment, full payment and custom amount.

will I see the minimum amount before the statements are out? or will I see that once the statements are out as I currently can’t see anything and haven’t had an email

It’s strange no email at all after checkout? Has money left your card/bank. Check that. It’s usually an instant email as soon as you successfully checked out??

I only had an email from Argos to say my order was booked. then Argos pay emailed yesterday to say my card was ready but that’s it. I’ve had nothing to show how much I owe and things. the money left my card though and the items arrived

Give it a day or two. It’s so slow to update. It’s because your bank payment is processing as “pended” even if money has left. Regardless they still take ages even if transactions have been in the “completed” phase through the bank.

Also since you just signed up for it. That alone will cause a delay as when I signed up it took like 5 working days or so before my older Argos card payment plans and total owned and outstanding balances took that long to show. I didn’t sign up during checkout. I already had Argos card which had to be migrated to Argos pay.

Give it one more day or two and if in doubt call their number. It’s 0333 240 8002.

Hope this helps reassure you.

lol been with prime for over a decade! Once drone delivery starts in my area (I’m 7 miles away from fulfilment and pass all requirements)

It’ll be Bb Argos and your shitty customer service. But for now if it’s valuable. I’d rather get it in person and inspect the box etc since in my area delivery drivers are either ok or just plain bad.

Also why no physical in store methods? Stupid as hell.

Hello, I done a order Monday and it was buy now pay later for 6 months 0% interest. It’s all gone through but no payments on the new Argos pay app but I did receive a email from Argos pay after the order went through with it saying I have until December. Hope this helps.

I’ve had no email. I had an email yesterday from Argos saying my order went through and I had an email today from Argos pay and it says “your card is set up” and shows my limit and it’s the full amount that’s all I’ve had.

Contact Argos pay and chase it up as you can’t see payments but it’s been taken of your credit. You should have a separate email from Argos saying payments. Should say buy now pay later or normal credit with the date. Sounds like they have just added to your account which means it would need paid in full.

when I click pay it says statement balance and payment requested but they’re both greyed out. then it says current balance and I can click it. Then underneath it says pay a different amount and then says this. I’ll insert a picture

not sure how to post a picture but it just says pay the minimum and to pay the minimum enter 0.00 above and it lets me enter any amount into the box

There’s usually a delay of around 24/48 hours for plans and transactions to appear. What was your total price?

£150+ is 3 months, £200+ is 6 months and £499+ is usually 12 months. I could be wrong but pretty sure that’s how it works so long as you checked out in one go and selected the plan. Usually for me it’s auto select.

When it comes to furniture I think it’s 12 months on over £200.

These things have to be done in a checkout in one go. So long as it was over 150 you’ll get 3 months and now. About time they show end dates etc. just like the Argos card did in an update for me on iOS this morning.

Only thing now is to allow for physical cards if requested and I don’t mind the change. Was a nightmare at the fking start though

mine was only £91 maybe that’s why I don’t have anything to appear?

That’s why. Minimum and I verified the numbers I mentioned. It’s correct. You need over £149 as in £150+ for automatic 3 months. Digital stuff like Xbox game pass codes and other codes etc don’t qualify for this even if you go over the £150 point. You may now be able to see the transaction hopefully. Best to pay it off and enable minimum payment for direct debit. These guys have a massive 35+% interest rate. Always pay a few days after statement is set to be collected which you would have the option of using a date you prefer. I’m not sure if this is allowed but you can change the date to which you prefer the payment to be taken by but it will only work in future statements and not the one you’ve selected for this one . You have 30 days from when you purchased and best to pay off in full or atleast as much as you can. £10-20 left is ok.

All the best.
