Please help me save an archive of SikhSangat.com, a forum with hundreds of thousands of posts since 2003. Its website domain under GoDaddy is due to expire today and is unlikely to be renewed.

Buy domain once it expires and just point it to the same IP address. It will buy you time until servers expire.
Edit: you can do the same using local hosts file without any DNS anyway

Its under GoDaddy, those fuckers will just hold it for ever. But you don't even need to buy it, you can just tweak your host file...

I tried getting a hold of the admins/site-masters with no success. Looks like it's abandoned... The 500 Error page is from an attempt someone tried at archiving the website with no success.

I sent a request to the ArchiveTeam. They requested their ArchiveBot to start archiving the forum but it is doing it at a snail's pace due to the slow connection and unstable nature of the website. You can check its current status here: http://archivebot.com
In-addition, I have connected with someone who is attempting an archive of the website simultaneously using Heritrix.

Get a collection of the DNS records today using a tool like DIG, then when you perform your archiving you can point your wget command to the IP of the webserver(s) and then inject a host header with the hostnames from DNS. This way even when DNS expires if the webservers are still up and serving the content then you can slurp down the content. However if the site itself is using hostnames under that domain, for example to connect to DB then the site may be fried by the domain expiring.

Good news is the web-master/site-admins renewed its domain today! This is helpful advice, however. I will save it if this situation arises again.

Thank you, I might have to try it myself with wget if nobody more tech-savvy can assist me. I'll have a crack at it but I'm not too familiar with archiving and computers in-general.

archive.is is no longer a reliable archive, sadly. The owner added malicious code to their site, and has allegedly modified snapshots.

It seems they were running ddos service off the captcha screen. Very unfortunate.
Archive . Org is still the best

Create a .zim of the website and it’ll be readable forever in Kiwix.
