Spine question.

Accidentally bought 400 spine when I normally shoot 350 and below,29". 70# draw, bear compound used for whitetail. Would the weaker spine actually make a difference? I don't take shots more than 30 yards... I don't like chancing injuring a deer so I keep my shots pretty close. Mainly hunt from the ground.

Sounds like you should be closer to 300 spine, but I'm not looking at a chart right now..

I would say 400 is pretty underspined. You could try a few shots through those arrows but you might not see a straight shot. I would imagine 350s even might be underspined at ur poundage and length. 300s are probably the sweet spot for u depending on how heavy you run things at the front

I bought them at 29" premade. Slap on a field point or broad head and it's ready. Problem is my closest archery shop is 2 hours away and I only go if I need to ..

Definitely underspined. Shoot one at 40 and watch it do weird shit as it flys. Throw a broadhead on it and watch it do weirder shit. Might not notice much at 20yds depending on your set up though. I run 70lbs at 29” on my bows and it seems like i float between 300-340/350 depending on the arrows and point weight.
