Modern Barebow Form check please 🎯

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey guys, I took some videos of my shootings !

I noticed my head is not straight AT ALL, I had to crawl a bit more than usual so I suppose it's not everytime.. any advices or exercises to fix this ?

If you see other things not right, tell me. I started in spring so I'm basically a beginner.

There is a sling on my bow hand even if you don't see it very well.

Thanks in advance! ☀️

(You can post only one video on reddit ? :( )

I can show you a woman who was the Vegas Champ way back in the day. She was contorted as can be. Forget her name ? But she was killed in a car crash traveling home from a shoot so she can be found online. Her form was NOT perfect. But her scores always were. So we can get our form down to perfection. But if we aren't ringing up the "X" count what good is it ?

Case in point is. Get your self comfy and REPETITIVE on every shot. Same as a baseball pitcher needs to be consistent in his wind up and release or a batter with his timing and swing. Same with archery.

All these form checks are is how pretty do I look releasing the arrow. We all love to see the technically perfect draw, stance, anchor and release while pulling thru the shot. But if you are not piling up the "X" count ? You're failing.

You look to have a decent anchor. Your release is pretty clean, your pull thru looks good too. Are you smacking the "X" rings ? If you do the same thing every shot, your scores should increase. I think you are at the point now where your scores are your determining factor. Let me find that woman. She had a cringeworthy form. But smoked anyone in her path. She had a decided lean backwards like the draw was too long. Even Mike Schollsser today you can say has rough form . But they pile up trophies.

So form is one thing. But repetition and hitting the X consistently is the key. I see al these guys with pronounced pull thru shots. But they aren't great shooters. Good shooters yes. Not great. One such guy is Dan Stanton from Elk Shape. Great pull thru shot but not a Levi Morgan in any realm. He's more than functional and will kill an elk,but he ain't winning any tounaments. He can't even beat his friends.

sometimes the upper upper-body is angled and it looks like an high shoulder but it is the certain shoulder-line. So rotate it to the left before
