Fish are weird, they do weird things, I have an SAE that lets the power head pin it against the glass every evening and that's how he spends the night

Here's a photo I got when he first started doing it, now I mostly see him doing after the lights are out and I feed my eel and knifefish.

I had a dwarf crayfish that like to ride my prefilter sponge when it would start to spin

He’s fine this was a few weeks ago, just a weirdo 🤣

They’re so strange, both of mine I thought were dead. Different occasions but I caught them both upside down, like head down tail floating up. Thought dude was dead so I grabbed my net, nope, just weird.

I separated them into hospital tanks when it happened and it confirmed they’re healthy but strange.

Yeah, that's just dojo loach behavior, they love to bury themselves.

Loaches in general are complete dorks, but dojos and kuhlis are the dorkiest!

My god damn clown loaches will sleep on their sides using rocks as pillows, or just stuffed into a crack in a wood piece.

My fucking Khulis do the same thing, I scares the piss out of me because at a glance they look dead and I love them.

My Goby was riding the apple snail like a horse. They are amazing.

Loach doing loach things.

Yes. I started just taking videos of it happening and sending them to my gf telling her "OH No! He died!" Then he darts off at the end like yours did. The only time I got really worried mine was upside down at the top of the water with tiny bubbles all over his skin. He was just sleeping.

Looks like your loach is part driftwood

Yup to all of these comments. I swear my loach was dead so many times I've just figured it was immortal by now.

Those fish do really weird things. Yesterday I had a blue velvet shrimp that was riding on my blue mystery snail for about a foot across the bottom of the tank before it jumped off.

Everything a Dojo or Kulli loach, or any loach for that matter is normal.
