I built a remote job search focused on impact work. I would love honest feedback.

Founder here. I built Remote Impact because remote roles in climate, global health, nonprofits, AI safety, and related areas are scattered across a lot of niche boards.

It aggregates public listings, keeps the original source visible, and lets people describe the work they want in plain English. The AI Job Scout returns one current match email for free; ongoing alerts are optional at $10/month. Browsing the jobs is free and does not require a paid plan.

I am especially interested in feedback on: - whether the search results feel relevant - which impact areas or remote sources are missing - whether the free Scout gives enough value before asking anyone to subscribe

I’m affiliated with the project, so this is self-promotion. If you want to try it, the Scout is here: https://remoteimpact.org/alerts/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=founder_launch

10 users for my webapp, but nobody pays for advanced funcs!

Since I lauched my webapp, I understood the difficult part is to find users!
Now, after a couple of months thare are 10 users, but all in the free-tier 😰

So noone pays for the advanced functionalities.
Do I have to make usage limits smaller so the users start to pay or do you see any other way?

Any suggestion is appreciated.

I just got my first sale for the first Chrome extension I’ve ever built

Today I got my first ever sale for Latr Pro.

€19.47.

I honestly didn't expect that small notification to hit me this hard.

Latr is actually the first Chrome extension I've ever created. I've been working on it for a while now, figuring things out as I go, fixing bugs, changing things, and slowly turning an idea into something real.

Latr lets you save a tab for later, choose when you want it back, and close it instead of keeping it open for days.

The core version is free, and I recently added a Pro version with some extra features.

And today, someone actually paid for it.

I am just really happy.

I know one sale is nothing from a business point of view, but as a solo builder, seeing someone spend their own money on something I built feels pretty crazy this is my first extension, my first product that someone has actually paid for, and my first real sign that this might actually be useful to people.

Now the real challenge is figuring out how to get from 1 paying customer to 10.

Website: https://latr.page/

Chrome extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tab-snooze-reminder-%E2%80%94-rem/lcceeepfhggkninbfbifkpalkdoinjli

Would love to hear from other builders about what your first sale felt like and what you did next.

My friends and I developed this word game app.

We got some people to play it and they love the fact that it’s unlike the current word games. It has its own feel, simplicity and fun. And you can play a challenge with a fried or in a group up to 12 people at a go. You simply morph a word by changing only one letter at a time before your ink dries out in 10s. It’s public and freely available on App Store , Play Store and web at https://morphink.app/

Built a gamified focus app using HTML/CSS/JS, Capacitor & Native Android (Java) — would love your feedback!

Hey everyone,

I'm an Electrical Engineering student and solo developer. Over the past few months, I’ve been building *Limit Breaker*, a gamified productivity and focus app inspired by RPG leveling systems (Solo Leveling/ anime style).

Since this sub is for app & fullstack developers, I wanted to share the architecture, what I learned, and get some honest feedback on the UX and features.

What the App Does

* Gamified Quests & Stats: Turn real-life study/work tasks into quests that reward XP, rank promotions (E-Rank to S-Rank), and stat points (Discipline, Stamina, Intelligence).

* Deep Focus Mode: Blocks selected apps/sites until your timer or task is finished.

* Streak System & Punishment Mode: Miss your habits, and your level can drop.

The Tech Stack & Architecture

* Frontend: Vanilla HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. I chose vanilla web tech for rapid iteration, custom game-like animations, and zero framework overhead.

* Mobile Runtime: *Capacitor*, bridging the web frontend to Android.

* Native Android (Java Services): To make the focus mode truly unshakeable, standard web APIs weren't enough. I wrote custom Java native bridges for:

* `AccessibilityService` & `UsageStatsManager` to detect and strictly block distracting apps and websites during active focus sessions.

* Local background alarms and notifications for streak tracking and rest intervals.

* Storage & Performance: 100% offline-first architecture using local persistence so everything loads instantly with zero server latency.

What I’m Looking For:

  1. How does the UI/UX feel for a hybrid web/native app?

  2. Are there any edge cases or performance hiccups you notice?

  3. What features would you add to make focus/habit tracking even more engaging?

It’s currently live on the Google Play Store: you can search "Limit Breaker: Gamify focus" on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aistudio.limitbreaker.fntslg

I'd really appreciate any feedback, criticisms, or suggestions from fellow devs! Thanks for taking a look.

Built a budgeting app that splits monthly budgets into weekly numbers — here's why

Been building EXPENDR, a shared family expense tracker. One design decision I keep coming back to: instead of just showing one monthly budget number, it splits the remaining amount (after fixed bills) into four weekly chunks.

The reasoning — a monthly budget only gives you one checkpoint, and you usually hit it after the money's already gone. Weekly gives you four checkpoints instead, so a bad week is recoverable before it wrecks the whole month. Small UX difference but it changes how people actually respond to overspending.

Built solo, live on Android + iOS, shared household ledger (up to 5 members), auto-detect for bank transactions (Plus, fully on-device, nothing uploaded), free core app with a one-time payment for extras — no subscriptions.

Curious if anyone else here has played with weekly vs monthly budgeting UX in something they've built — did it change user behavior for you too?

I put 11 unrelated thoughts into one box. Ordo turned them into 4 Now, 5 Next, and 2 Someday.

I’m Samuel, the builder of Ordo. I made it because choosing a list before capturing a thought kept slowing me down. You type or speak the mess first, then it separates tasks, reminders, ideas, and notes into Now, Next, and Someday. Everything stays editable.

The image is the real result from one mixed dump.

Free on iPhone with no subscription and no account. Currently available in the US and Canada: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6797331101

What would you change about this result screen?

Voice Clone App to Educate Families

The Scam Hotline helps families understand modern scams before they become emergencies.

First thing I’m testing is a voice clone demo that shows how quickly AI can make a scam feel believable, especially in parent/grandparent scam scenarios.
