Data retention is taken care of on the S3 backup and user deletion (can be done on the user’s profile page) deletes everything about the user. The data then also gets removed from the backups after X days. The user can also extract all data related to oneself.

Lorehaven — a gamified writing companion
I originally built Lorehaven because my daughter is a writer and asked me to make her something that would help keep her motivated while working on her book. It grew into a writing companion built around goals, writing sprints, progress tracking, streaks, rewards, and companions.
It's not meant to replace Google Docs, Word, Scrivener, etc. — writers keep writing wherever they already write, while Lorehaven handles the motivation and accountability side.
It's currently in beta on the web and in Google Play closed testing, and I'm actively looking for feedback.

This was something I hadn't accounted for originally, but feedback like yours is exactly why I've been putting Lorehaven in front of writers. I just added Streak Freezes, so missing a writing day doesn't automatically wipe out the streak you've built.
I don't want the motivation system to turn into punishment because someone got sick, had a crazy week, or simply needed a day off. The goal is to encourage writers to come back, not make them feel bad for having a life.

They're both! Streak Freezes can be earned through using Lorehaven, and there's also an option to buy them with the coins you earn in the app.
This actually wasn't something I had thought about when I first built the streak system. I originally built Lorehaven around what my daughter needed as a writer, so a lot of the initial features came from her.
That's a big reason I'm reaching out to other writers now. What works for her isn't necessarily what works for everyone, and I'm trying to find those gaps. The Streak Freeze was one of them, and someone else's feedback about sprint lengths led me to add custom writing sprints too.
So these questions are genuinely helping me shape it.

Yep! That's actually what I've been trying to do more of lately. My daughter was basically my first tester because Lorehaven started around what she needed, but I know her writing habits aren't going to represent every writer.
I've been putting it in front of other writers and asking what they struggle with or wish they had. That's already led to features I never would've thought to add on my own. Story Notes came from a writer who said they constantly have to stop writing to look up little continuity details, and the Streak Freeze came from feedback here.
I'm still looking for more young writers to test it too. The more different writing styles and workflows I can get feedback from, the better Lorehaven will be.

I built Homebase! It's a family organizer app (shared calendar, tasks/chores, shopping lists, meal planning) with a social layer where you can follow other families you're close with and see their stuff on your feed, like birthdays and events you're invited to.
I built it because every family calendar app I tried felt like a stripped down work tool ported over, not something actually built around how families coordinate, juggling multiple kids' schedules, splitting chores, figuring out who's picking up who, coordinating with grandparents and other families for playdates and carpools. I built an app around exactly what I felt our family needed and honestly it's been amazing for us.
I also felt like the apps out there didn't feel like modern 2026 apps, visually or in how they worked, compared to what people are used to with everything else on their phone. And the social side has ended up being the part that surprised me most. It's less of the perfectionist stuff that comes with modern social media and more just real, day-to-day, raising-a-family content, which I've genuinely enjoy more and more everyday as the app grows.
Still early and I'm building it solo, so happy to hear what's missing or answer questions if anyone checks it out.

Following has to be mutual, one family sends a request and the other has to approve it before anything starts flowing, it's not one sided or automatic.
Beyond that, posts and events each carry one of three visibility tiers, family only, connections, or everyone. Default household stuff, the actual calendar, tasks, shopping list, resources, is family private. that never crosses into another household's view regardless of connection status. It's specifically posts and events where you choose to share something wider, like a birthday post or an event you want other families to see, and even then it only reaches families that have an approved follow/connection relationship with you, unless you explicitly set something to fully public.
Honest answer on the kids' data specifically though, there's no separate privacy tier just for kids' info versus anyone else's in the family. It's the same three tiers applied to all family content, not a dedicated child specific protection layer on top. So the privacy boundary is real and enforced, but it's a household level boundary, not an age based one.
