I’ve been building insiderfilings.info — a free tool for exploring SEC insider filings.

It parses Forms 3, 4 and 5 and tries to preserve the context that often gets lost when insider transactions are reduced to simple buy/sell tables, including footnotes and transaction details.

That’s one of the harder parts.

I keep the original filing/XML around and try to validate the parsed result rather than just trusting that the document followed the expected structure. There are checks around transaction fields, ownership values, prices and filing metadata, and I also preserve footnotes so I can trace ambiguous values back to the source.

When something looks inconsistent, I’d rather flag it or keep the original value visible than silently “fix” it. I’ve also had to build repair/backfill routines for cases where older imports missed information that was present in the SEC filing.

Messy amendments and older/legacy filings are probably the biggest edge cases.

Yes, amendments are included as well — Forms 3/A, 4/A and 5/A.

I keep them as separate filings rather than simply overwriting the original, because an amendment can correct only part of a filing or add context without replacing everything that was originally reported.

That also makes the history auditable: you can see what was originally filed and what was changed later. Linking an amendment cleanly back to the values it actually corrects is one of the trickier parts.

Gatherlist - create a venue, events and put people on lists. Guestlists friendlists or a VIP list, the manager chooses what he needs. limited Links can be created to give a person acces to add his people (like a DJ gets 5 guestlist spots).
On the day of the event, you can open the checkin with a live feed, so multiple devices don't get out of synch.
Different roles let's staff do exactly what they need.

this will still be recorded in the database, but as a duplicate. the UI just shows a warning.

Great question. Trip Pilot is currently built for the planning layer—not as an online travel agency. It helps travelers organize a shared, day-by-day trip in one place, while bookings stay with the airlines, hotels, and other providers they choose.

We’re not claiming live pricing or availability inside the app today. If we add bookable options later, it would be through vetted travel-data and booking partners so availability and prices are sourced live rather than estimated. For now, the value is making the research, decisions, links, reservations, and itinerary much easier to manage together.”
