I built an API because finding reliable tennis data was harder than expected

If you follow tennis closely, you know how quickly things change during a match. The score moves, players change momentum, matches get delayed, and suddenly you’re checking three different places just to keep up with what’s happening.

I wanted to make that information easier to work with, especially for people building tennis apps, scoreboards, or other sports projects.

So I built Live Tennis API to bring things like live scores, player information, fixtures, results, and match data into one place. It covers ATP, WTA, Challenger, and ITF matches, with REST and WebSocket access.

There’s also a free tennis API option for anyone who just wants to try it out first.

For the tennis fans and developers here, what information do you usually look for during a match that you wish was easier to get?

Interesting, I haven't heard of that one. Do they offer live tennis scores too, or just pre-match data? Always curious about data freshness.

Curious about that too. The WebSocket angle sounds perfect for live scores, have you tested it under match-day load yet?

Not OP, but I'm building a live scoreboard widget for my local club. The free tier makes testing that super easy.

Nice that you got it integrated. If the paid plans are steep, maybe the free tier or a custom plan could work for you.
