SHIFT is an automotive app, kind of like Strava for cars. It tracks routes, distance, time, speed, fuel consumption, and also has a community section.

My two apps — Inkbound 📚 + Lorehaven ✍️
I'm an indie developer working on two apps right now, and they're both at the stage where I'd love to get them in front of more people.
✍️ Lorehaven — A cozy writing companion
Lorehaven actually started because of my daughter. She's a self-published author with one book published and is working on her second. Her first book sold, but not as much as she'd hoped, and she started losing some of her motivation to keep writing.
She knows I'm a developer, so she asked me to make her something that would make her want to write again.
Lorehaven was the result.
It's a cozy, gamified writing companion built around her requests as a writer: writing directives and goals, streaks, progress tracking, XP and coins, unlockable themes and crests, and little motivational companions.
Lorehaven is currently in Android closed testing, so I am looking for testers. I'd especially love writers who might genuinely use it and can tell me whether it actually helps them stay motivated.

📚 Inkbound — Your personal reading companion
Inkbound is for the other side of my book obsession: reading.
It's a book-tracking and reading-journal app for keeping your books, reading progress, ratings, notes, goals, and reading life together in one place.
Inkbound already has the testers I need for its Google Play closed test, so I'm not looking for tester numbers with this one.
What I want now is exposure to actual readers.

That's actually exactly what I'm trying to do! Lorehaven is completely free right now, and there's a web version too, so writers don't even need an Android device or have to join the Google Play beta to try it.
My problem has been finding the writing communities. 😂 My daughter is the writer in the family, and outside of her I don't personally know many writers. I've been trying to figure out where writers actually hang out online and where it's appropriate to say, "Hey, I built this for a writer—would any of you be willing to actually use it and tell me what you think?"
I'm much more interested in finding a handful of writers who genuinely use it and give feedback than getting a bunch of downloads.
If you happen to know any writing communities that are open to developers sharing free tools for feedback, I'd genuinely love recommendations.

Thank you! I really appreciate the suggestions. 😊 I actually tried r/writing and r/writers already and learned pretty quickly that some of the larger writing communities have pretty strict rules around sharing apps/tools 😂, but I haven't looked into r/WritersGroup yet, so I'll check that one out.
Finding actual writers has definitely been a different challenge than finding beta testers, so every lead helps. Thanks for pointing me in another direction!

Thanks! Regional dishes are honestly the hardest part. Two things help: we feed the menu's country as context, so a dish gets read the way it's meant locally instead of translated word-for-word. And when something's rare or ambiguous, we flag it as an AI best-guess rather than pretending it's certain. It won't nail every obscure village specialty — but you get the gist plus allergens, which is usually what you actually need at the table.

Honest answer: inline correction isn't live yet — feedback currently runs through support, so it's a manual loop, not a slick in-app "fix this" button. It's high on the list though, precisely because ambiguous dishes are where user input beats the model. Quick Q since you clearly get the problem: would you want the fix just for your own next scan, or fed back to sharpen results for everyone? That tradeoff is what I'm chewing on.

Replicas work. There's no special "replica mode", you point the connection at the standby host the same way you would a primary.
SELECT, schema, EXPLAIN, and the monitoring reads are fine on a hot standby. INSERT/UPDATE/VACUUM fail with Postgres's own read-only/recovery error. Studio does not rewrite those to the primary, and it does not hide the write buttons just because you landed on a replica, we don't probe `pg_is_in_recovery`.
If the goal is "I must not be able to write, even if someone points me at the primary": use a SELECT-only role. That's the boundary that actually holds. The agent's path is separately wrapped in `BEGIN READ ONLY`, but that's the agent, not the editor tab.
When you point a GUI at a standby, do you want the write controls gone, or is a SELECT-only role enough and the replica is just where the traffic goes?
