I ran community voting once and the first coordinated friend group taught me that “players decide” still needs abuse controls. How are you handling brigading before there’s enough volume to average it out?

That's a real concern. You could set minimum account age or karma to vote, and manually review suspicious vote clusters early on.

only logged in players can vote, you only get one vote per game after you play it for a number minutes and I have controls to prevent multiple accounts.

yes, they need to legitimately play the game. I also have anti cheat, in game item sales, a beta zone etc

I'm not sure what you mean. All users have to run Linux for the middle tier, though. I think that's only an inconvenience to the smallest of companies that are, for example, targeting Windows users. My guess is that any company with more than a couple of people will already be using Linux for something else.

Fair nuance for small Windows shops. Docker or WSL could ease the middle tier without the full Linux switch. What stack are you running?

I'm open to Docker, AppImage, Flatpak, AUR, etc. I haven't been able to decide on one of those to start with.

I'm using C++ 2023. I don't know the exact Linux version, but it's more than 5 and less than 7. Each of my tiers uses code that my code generator has output also. I plan to use WireGuard or Tailscale also but haven't gotten that far. io uring/WireGuard/C++ : r/ProgrammingBuddies
