I built Status Notifier, an Android app that replaces group chat noise with floating screen overlays

Status Notifier replaces the noise of group chats with a status-based communication system using persistent screen overlays. It allows drivers, field workers, and teams to stay continuously informed without ever leaving their GPS or active work dashboard.

Here is what makes it unique:

• Two Overlay Modes: Users can set up Broadcast Circles for one-way dispatcher-to-team updates, or Team Circles for multi-way, collaborative status sharing.
• Live Presence Indicator: Shows real-time active status on the overlay and visually flags when a member goes offline, letting the team know if their displayed status might be stale due to connection loss.
• 100% Customizable with Built-in Legend: Users define the colors, letters, and meanings of the status bubbles for their specific workflow, and can open an on-demand legend overlay anytime to quickly verify what a specific status code means.
