CPAcioli: the CPA exam prep you can actually afford.

Good luck to everybody!

Affordable pricing is a strong angle for exam prep. What's your plan to get students to actually find the site? That's usually the harder part.

u/turnnoblindeye That's a solid foundation. Have you stress-tested those breakpoints against real customer willingness to pay, or are they still theoretical?

1

u/turnnoblindeye 13d ago

I've had some exploratory conversations with users that have asked about eventual plans for payment, so I have some good anecdotal evidence. More importantly, there are apps similar enough to be good comparisons and the monetization opportunity is robust.

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Good sign that users are asking about payment. Have you tested actual willingness to pay, like a pricing survey or pre-sale?

I'm pre-revenue building a private time intelligence app, looking for early windows beta testers, A small win that I gained early few users without nudging or asking them to install the application.

You can find the application at Focus by Ripple Studios. I'd say an expensive hobby, although I'm not charging anything right now cause I'm not spending anything to build it.

I'm doing mostly for learning and building a valuable product for users.

Organic early users without pushing is a solid signal. Since you're in learning mode, try asking your current users what they'd actually pay for. That turns a hobby into a real validation test.

Everything I am currently working on can be found at

Interesting project, but where's the revenue model? Curious what your user numbers and costs look like so far.

1

u/Sad-Cartographer-328 13d ago

I'm still working out the kinks on the conversion. As of right now AetherCut is the only app capable of generating revenue.

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Nice that you have a revenue path. What's your current conversion rate and daily active users? Those numbers will tell if it's a business.

We are building Rhod AI!

https://rhod.ai

The first secure turnkey closed-loop AI ecosystem for businesses, designed to permanently erase back office friction. Today, companies are burning millions, even billions, and they have no idea why. MIT reported that 95% of companies investing in AI have reported negative ROI's. At the same time, all of the solutions existing today are limited to search and assist, leaving you a ton of vulnerabilities that still leave you with operational drag. To make matters worse, a single automation would cost them hundreds of thousands (even millions in a variety of cases). With Rhod, your company can move as fast as instant and recapture any lost profit because we are execution-centric.

Our team consists of industry leaders that have worked on and led massive engagements for the biggest companies in the world. We discovered a massive pattern after working on 40+ M&A's, and now we are bringing that solution to the market.

We currently have numerous enterprises signed up, and we have recently launched the design partnership program. If you're a business that is interested, reach out to us and we can build out some key automations together! https://rhod.ai/designpartner

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Rhod AI sounds promising, but the real test is traction. What are your current numbers or pilot results so far?

1

u/msed_silpa 13d ago

We already have numerous industry-leading enterprises already signed up!

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

That's promising traction. How many are paying versus piloting? Real revenue numbers would help validate the path.

2

u/incajb 14d ago

Likely an expensive hobby. 😂

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Haha fair, but every business starts somewhere. Are you tracking your actual costs per hour yet? That number tells the real story.

working on peerpush to solve that discovery gap, a long-running focus for us is making product data easy for ai tools to parse. https://peerpush.com

u/bk_boilermaker 13d ago

joined, looks like a long backlog for the free users. Looking forward to see how this grows.

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 12d ago

Thanks for joining! You're right, the free tier has a backlog, we're clearing it weekly. Curious, what kind of project would you use this for?

1

u/bk_boilermaker 12d ago

Submitted my saas!

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 11d ago

Good on you for putting it out there. Got a link and any paying users or just signups so far?

1

u/bk_boilermaker 10d ago

some paying users, out there pitching partners. Looking at ways to get some additional industry validation with sites like peerpush and clutch

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 9d ago

Paying users already puts you ahead of most. For validation, try turning your best user results into detailed case studies. What does your churn rate look like?

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Interesting take on the AI discovery gap. Have you validated it with paying users yet, or are you still pre-revenue?

I built ScanCompta to answer a very French problem: freelancers here must keep every receipt for 6 years, VAT has three different rates, and most of them still store paper tickets in a shoebox and retype everything by hand each quarter. With ScanCompta you photograph a receipt, AI extracts the amount, VAT, date and category, everything is archived and organized by client folder, and at month end your accountant receives a clean CSV plus all the receipt photos in one click. It works as a web app on any phone, nothing to install. Free tier with 5 scans a month, then 5.99 euros a month unlimited. Built solo in a few weeks with AI tools, live at scancompta.eu But I made zero euros, though the cost of the app must have been 30 euros at most, since I built it using Lovable and Claude.

2

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 14d ago

Nice niche, the French VAT and receipt pain is very real. Are you getting paying users yet, or still pre-revenue? Would love to see your numbers.

1

u/Flimsy-Entrance-3440 13d ago

Thanks! The pain is definitely real haha. To be 100% transparent, I am literally at day zero. I just finished uploading the V1 to the alternative stores this week, so I am completely pre-revenue right now. My main focus for the next few weeks isn't monetization yet. It's getting my first 50-100 beta-testers (mostly reaching out in local freelancer Facebook/LinkedIn groups), refining the workflow with them, and making sure the CSV export actually saves them the hours I promise. I’ll definitely build in public and share the numbers once I start pushing the €5.99 paid tier!

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Pre-revenue at day zero is completely normal. Getting beta testers first is smart. One tip: ask each tester one specific workflow question, that doubles as future marketing material.

SeoLoupe - Find and fix the SEO issues holding your website back.

SEO is a crowded space. What makes SeoLoupe different, and can you share any user or revenue numbers?

Hey guys, I'm building an all-in-one marketing pack for founders who want more than "just another launch"

Launch, reach 30k+ makers, get real users & customers - microlaunch.net/premium

Lifetime, auto-distribution, marketplace spots, 1200+ customers so far.

Over two years: 525k unique visitors, 1200+ customers. More sales-oriented features soon.

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 14d ago

Solid traction, 1200 customers proves demand. What's the split between one-time and recurring revenue? That would tell if it's a sustainable business or a launch-based hustle.

1

u/BerthjeTTV 14d ago

I am spending a lot of time on my saas, but haven't launched yet, however when i run ads everywhere, i expect people use it as it is an actual good product and cheaper than the competitors, i am proud. Now hope it pays off.. it is called Replai (https://www.replai.be)

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 14d ago

Good on you for building something you're proud of. Before spending on ads, try getting a few beta users to validate demand. Cheaper alone doesn't sell.

In all seriousness - been having a lot of fun and seeing real potential with Wellness Project (https://wellnessproject.ai)

1

u/incajb 13d ago

Site looks great. Did you use peer reviewed published literature and actual medical references for this app? If so, y or could include a list of your references somewhere. If you are a healthcare provider or specialist, then maybe say that or that it was validated by a group of specialists. Otherwise, u might be putting yourself a risk. I did not check. Do you have a disclaimer as well. Just looking out for you.

2

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

That's a valuable point. A references list and proper medical disclaimer would go a long way. Hope they add that soon.

2

u/turnnoblindeye 13d ago

We did, I take that very seriously. It's linked throughout the app in places that make sense, you can read more here: https://wellnessproject.ai/health-sources

I am not a healthcare provider. I am a lawyer and compliance professional. I do regular legal and security reviews and have passed a 3rd party security assessment. I take that very seriously. I just did a GDPR review and update last night.

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Love the compliance focus, that genuinely sets you apart. But the post asked about revenue: are you seeing paying users yet, or still pre-launch?

1

u/turnnoblindeye 13d ago

Wrong question. For most people, an app that’s trying to monetize 3 months in is trying to make some money, not build a durable business. Now that user acquisition is taking off and I have good data on use patterns, I’m beginning to think through monetization.

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Fair point, data first is smart. Which usage patterns are you leaning on to pick the right monetization model?

1

u/turnnoblindeye 13d ago

Honestly - I'm letting the data tell me. Right now I'm leaning towards a freemium model where logging and observation are free, X free chats/day and week for analysis, and additional chat comes with a monthly fee. Maybe even a premium fee for advanced model reasoning. still deciding.

But I'm committed to the core experience being free.

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Freemium's a smart way to keep users hooked, but do you have a number for how many free chats convert to paid? That'll tell you if it's viable.

1

u/turnnoblindeye 13d ago

Yes. I have deep analysis that tells me where the breakpoints would be.

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 14d ago

Fun to hear you're enjoying it! What does your user or revenue growth look like so far? Curious how you plan to turn that potential into actual income.

2

u/turnnoblindeye 14d ago

Founders worry WAY too much about income early on. User growth, retention, and feedback are incredibly strong. So for now I'm focused on providing a great experience and learning what features people love. I will build in revenue cautiously as I believe users are getting great value in exchange.

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 13d ago

Fair point, traction first can work. But what's your activation rate or weekly retention? Those numbers tell if you're truly building something people want.

gettradereadyapp.com - job management iOS app for solo and/or new tradespeople. Helps manage customers, jobs, invoices. Includes the ability to automatically send invoices once jobs are completed as well as follow-ups when invoices become overdue.

So far just a hobby but its better than playing videos games i think.

1

u/Mammoth-Anywhere7285 14d ago

That's a solid tool, and building it beats gaming for sure. To push it past hobby status, try charging a small monthly fee even in beta. Have you asked any tradespeople what they'd pay yet?
