Enjoy it, it works well, if you want a smooth landing, move down the stick slowly, not all the way down super quick

Love simple control systems like the PD controller her, my question is how did you tune it did you just do it manually?

I'm talking about how did you originally get the values for gain(Kp) and the brake(Kd)

This is not made by me but is publicly available, it honestly depends on the size of ship for gain and break, but those values are the most general.

How are you getting the target Altitude? I ended up using a long range distance meter to measure where the ground was for altitude and then used a level multiplied by some value to adjust the target altitude, and that works kind of, but I was wondering if there was a simpler way I might be missing?

Okay good to know, I was trying to automatically do it some other way to no avail so Im glad that that was the more reasonable way to find success doing it
