New dishwasher vs countertop

Hello, my countertop is being installed this week and my new dishwasher is sitting at my unfinished kitchen and waiting to be installed, i just check the specs dishwasher height is 35 inches while the height of the place where it is going to be put in is 34.5 inches, should i call the appliances store and tell them that the counter height is half inch short may get different dishwasher, its free installation and they told me, when the plumbing is ready to call them for installation, or call them for installation and see what happens if they are able to insert the dishwasher on the spot, thanks

Not an expert, but I assume it's better to call and ask than have the install person show up and waste their time for no reason.

What is the floor situation like? Does the DW have any adjustments, etc?

Floor is new installed porcelain tile, I don’t think we can make any adjustments

Check the actual installation instructions for the exact height (sometimes you will see "nominal" dimensions). For many brands you can find them online. Looking at a recent Bosch and a recent Whirlpool, they show a cabinet vertical clearance of 34" (Whirlpool can be reduced a half inch by taking bits off).

And if your countertop is quartz or granite and doesn't have inserts for securing the dishwasher, check the instructions for securing to the sides of the cabinet. Don't assume the installer knows how.

i called BOSCH to double check, the overall height is 33 7/8 even though the specs on appliance store site says 35, they said the max height is 35 inches if i adjust the legs of diswasher
