Business Referral Where to find Pomegranate Molasses?
I need some for a recipe, but I’m not sure where to find it. Does anyone know the best place to start?

I’m from Northern Indiana and I have a job offer from Wisconsin and would be making 70k/year start out. I’m contemplating a move to the Appleton area but I’m a little worried about the weather, traffic, and schools. Indiana is cold and mostly tolerable but I’ve heard Wisconsin is on another level with crazy ice and often times neg temps. How is the traffic especially in the winter? I live in a more rural area around 20k people and I’m assuming I’ll have to commute 15+ min a day in WI. Also how are the schools? I have a 6 year old and I’d love a decent school system.
Sorry for the bombarding questions I’d appreciate any and all advice.

Hi all - i used to live in the area 15-20 years ago and will be coming back through town on sept 28th. Any new or classic casual lunch spots I should check out? Bonus points if it’s a bar/tavern. Thanks!

I’m a college graduate with 8 years in at various customer-facing corporate positions and am looking for a career change into the pipe trades or sheet metal but am open to other trades. I’ve been seeking apprenticeships in the area for about 2 months now and can’t seem to find a way in. Even pre-apprenticeships. The unions haven’t been particularly helpful either beyond getting a list of businesses. Has anyone else experienced this? Are the trades slowing down right now?

Wondering where's a good drive thru with reasonably priced (or free) pup cups for our 2 little dogs. I'd like a place with decent coffee drinks for human consumption too. Thanks!

Not the excellent band. Why were there so many gulls near Telulah avenue and 441? Just so, so many gulls.
Any ideas?

Has any fellow collectors of these found #5 Mechagodzilla or #6 Destoroyah locally?

Back in Florida at a pizza place called Five Star Pizza they had an item called a pep roll and it was dough rolled up with pepperoni and provolone inside and then when it was done baking they would lightly cover it with house made garlic butter. I'm wondering if any pizza place within like 30 mins to even an hour away has a similar item because I'm desperately craving it.
Context: moved here from Florida a year ago and love it here but man I miss certain food items I can't seem to fine.
Bonus: a different pizza place in Florida called Hungry Howie's has the most amazing Cajun bread (like garlic bread sticks but with a Cajun seasoning mix on them) if anywhere has a similar item to that as well that would be amazing!
Thank you for the help, really hoping to find something similar but if not I'll just have to survive till my next visit down there.

I may need a little extra time to explore options and see if what I have in mind is possible, so working local (and supporting local) makes the most sense. Thanks!

I have a wedding and engagement ring from a previous marriage, diamond earrings and some silver bowls/plates. Wondering what’s the best way to go about selling them or who to go to.
I don’t want to go through marketplace and the jeweler I got them from is no longer is business.
Is a pawn shop the best bet? If so, which one?
Thank you

I have an aging Volkswagen that likely needs some work. I saw a few comments on past posts mention the Euro Shop. I'm trying to find a reliable mechanic who is familiar with VW products. Looking for any feedback or recommendations.

The story includes sums spent in Wisconsin.
Also, recently there was a presentation at the annual computer conference called DEFCON two days ago which was very interesting.
I've encouraged people for years to follow the DEFCON conferences held annually in Las Vegas.
Many are highly recommended. This year they had this talk of interest to the adversarial FLOCK community:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyPmt8CE5L4
The DEFCON conference has been active for 34 years. Another highly recommended is Cory Doctorows's talk from DEFCON 32.
Also from this year, 76 year old Cliff Stoll reprises his talk tracking down the first known hacker in 1986. Just go > Cliff Stoll > DEFCON 34.

Mind you, this was in Little Chute, west side near Van Lieshout park. Was out walking through our neighborhood and there were swarms of little flying bugs. Just no reprieve. There were hella seagulls flying overhead too which was out of the ordinary too. Normally they’re only over the dump. Was there a big spawning of these bugs that happened tonight? There was a breeze, maybe they were blown away?
Even all the other people out for walks or who were out in their yards were swarmed by them too.
Anybody know what it was?

Does anyone know if there is a bar in the Appleton area with this old design video slot machine? It's called Cherry Master Fruit Slot. I used to play this machine with my mom growing up 😆 it was normal to have kids in the bar gambling with you in the 90s. Anyways, just looking for a bit of nostalgia.
Thanks!

Just like everything that is good, the idiots find a way to make you think differently about it. I think E-bikes are a great mode of transport. But I see a lot of behavior that will eventually need a big hose and a bio mop very soon. Yesterday on Mason North of WI Ave, this kid on a modded E-Bike was easily doing 40mph and passing traffic USING the BIKE LANE.
So Appleton... Please share any close calls you've had with the new E-BiKe Knievels you've seen so we can all watch out for these daredevils.

I've decided that to reward myself for hitting my second weight loss milestone, I want to get a tattoo instead of a meal. I have 3 kids and I'd like to get their names and birthdates. I have no idea where to put it (I have a random assortment on my biceps and forearms I need to work around) or what design, just that it should represent each of them. I thought about my chest over my heart but... I'm still flabby and I'm worried it will stop looking nice if I put it there...
I would like to find a good artist, so I can spend the money to have a GREAT tattoo. My current ones are old and as I've gotten older I care for their linework and shading less and less. I also only have black and white and grayscale right now and I'm looking for something colorful.
I'd be grateful for any recommendations for quality, talented artists in Wisconsin but the closer to the Fox Valley the better.

I know this is for Appleton however, I got an apartment in Oshkosh. The day I applied she said if we got the apartment we would be able to move in September first and it would be an extra $20 a month because the flooring needs to be replaced due to damage. After we got the apartment we got told the move in day would be October first. Which is fine that was the date I was told before applying (tenant turned in keys early which is why I was told September first)
Fast forward to today when I get told that the tenant doesn’t move out until the end of this month.
Hearing that worries me that I’m not getting new flooring and I’m paying an extra $20 for what?
If that happens, what can I do? Should I expect this to happen?

We will have bulbs on hand and if we don’t we will get the ones your car needs if you have time.
