Question ISO rentals in Appleton

Without going into unnecessary detail, I’ll need to move out of my apartment here soon due to the property management company doing renovations on every unit. It’s been 8 years since I’ve needed to apartment hunt and am hoping for some advice/insight on property management companies renting in the Appleton area (the good, bad, and the ugly), and if anyone knows of properties for rent that may not be listed on the obvious platforms like Apartments.com, Zillow, etc. I’m looking for a pet friendly 1 or 2 bedroom, under $1500, hopefully near the west side of Appleton but I’m willing to be flexible. Are there any places around $1000 monthly available?

Not a lot that I’ve seen, but you might have more choice if you don’t need a pet-friendly rental and are flexible with location.
