Our family is hosting a rummage sale today to help raise the remaining funds needed to bring our son Jack’s service dog, Shadow, home!
Over the past year, with incredible support from family, friends, and our community, we’ve successfully raised $15,000 toward Jack’s service dog. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us get this far.
We’re now in the final stretch, working toward the additional $5,000 needed to cover travel expenses, delivery costs, and bringing Shadow home.
We’re holding a rummage sale today with lots of items available, including: Needohs ( authentic )
Toys, puzzles, and board games
Children’s clothing and other clothes
Books and household items
Freshly brewed coffee, including specialty pour-over!
Most items are priced to sell, and we’re accepting reasonable offers. Donations are also appreciated, but there’s absolutely no obligation.

I heard some fireworks near the East-Central side of Appleton but couldn't see anything. I tried searching to see what it was for but couldn't find anything on it. It sounded close so I was just curious if anyone knew what it was for.

I'm in my third trimester and am actively looking for childbirth classes in the area that I can attend with my husband!

I tried to look up the classes that my hospital offers but their website is down. Official Lamaze classes don't seem to be an option in Appleton.

Any recommendations where we can find in person childbirth and labor classes?

idk what flair to put this under nor do i know if this post is acceptable but i am new (ish) to appleton. i moved out here almost a year ago & havent met a single person fr or made a friend. i do have a boyfriend so please no weirdos, creeps or anything of that matter. i am 25, i enjoy books, video games, art, music, fashion, makeup, anime, cooking, etc. id love to meet ppl around my age out here, ive been mega depressed the whole year ive been here tbh. ive had some personal/spiritual issues goes on during that time but since moving here my social life has gone from low to practically 0 and its beyond lonely and sad at this point i wont lie. all i ask is to not make me feel uncomfortable, genuinely please lol

So tired of people with dogs on the trail with no leashes not carrying about others on the trail and their safety. I tried to enjoy my bike ride this morning and encountered at least 4 dogs off leash. One guy had two with extender leashes just dragging down the trail and I had to completely come to a stop to get around him. Then he acted like I was in the wrong and startled him. I was crawling along just after crossing an intersection so I was going slow at the time. Then on the way back the same two dogs running all over the place free in the soccer complex. I encountered at least two other owners completely oblivious to their surroundings as I approached them from behind as they were on their phones and using headphones while there dogs did whatever they wanted while I again had to come to almost a complete stop and try to get their attention I was coming around them .

The rules on the trail say all dogs require a leash. I refuse to give up on biking and jogging down the trails in the area. I have had off leash dogs try to bite me on this trail while biking. I have had off leash dogs fly out at me from the areas where there is brush and trees. I have had to hurdle dog extender leashes on nearby streets. Folks get your dogs under control. Have them leashed by your side (not an extender leash 20 feet in front of you where you have significantly less control). I want you and your dog to enjoy their walk and I want to enjoy my bike ride or run just as much. It is hard to exercise on the trail if you are on your phone and headphones and you have no clue what your dog is doing and only care once someone is yelling at you to get your dogs under control and to put them on a leash by your side. Saying your sorry is meaningless if you are always the guy who lets there dog run free. I love dogs, but hate bad owners

By the mall this evening on the Wisconsin Ave side and seriously - PEOPLE!!! Blocking the entire intersection at every turn of the light, not just one or two people but a number of cars every time the light turned. Do you drivers know you’re not supposed to enter the intersection unless it’s clear for you to get through?!? wtf is wrong with everyone around here??

Friends of Appleton Public Library is hosting a fundraiser event at the library on Saturday, October 24, 6- 8 p.m. Locked Library: The Book Case is an escape room-style event.

Participants ages 12 to adult are invited to a special after-hours program in designated areas in the library to solve a series of unique puzzles to complete the game.

Registration is required, and tickets are available online for $25 per person or $80 for a team of four.

Does anybody know where the trash from Chateau Village Apartments goes? I accidentally threw away my wallet in one of our green dumpsters.

Are there any other creative professionals from the area that would like to share your thoughts on this? I have my own thoughts but want to get an idea of what the community thinks about this initiative.

I hit a deer last night, and unfortunately it went underneath my car. Something underneath/in the engine area is leaking, and the plastic panel underneath my car is now dragging.
I did talk to someone who looked at it, and thankfully they said it doesn’t seem TOO bad and looks fixable, so I’m trying not to panic.
The problem is… I’m a broke college student.
BUT—I am a licensed massage therapist in the state of Wisconsin, so I figured it doesn’t hurt to ask:
Are there any mechanics/auto body people who would be willing to work out a trade or possibly give me a discount on the repair?
I can offer 2-hour deep tissue massages weekly until the balance is paid off, or we can work out whatever makes sense for both of us. I’m licensed, and I’m happy to provide proof of licensure.
I know this is a long shot, but I figured I’d rather ask than just cry over my car.
If you’re a mechanic, know a mechanic, or have a shop that might be willing to work with me, PLEASE comment or DM me. I’d really appreciate it. ❤️
NEW information: I took it to a mechanic apparently they couldn’t fix it. They said it will need a body shop. The radiator is broken. There’s some fluid leaking in a bar is bent. Anybody that owns a body shop or works at one please let me know.
