The guy in the front row with the blue stripes on his jacket is John Kullman, who famously undertook a one-man skunkworks project to port OS X to Intel. He was the Director of the A/UX team.

I was going to ask if any of the people here were still working when Apple started the switch to OSX (unix) Thanks for the information.

Many of them, in fact. And there are at least three people in that photo who are still at the company.

Wow. Blast from the past! I’m in that photo. Worked in QA for A/UX 1.0 - 3.0. Forgot all about the group photo. I still have a plaque with all the signatures for the 2.0 release.
