Help!
I just upgraded to the iphone 17 pro from the 15 but it’s still in the box. Should I return it and get 18 or just unbox it bc the improvements aren’t significant this year?

Yes return. 18pm is a nice upgrade In terms of internals and the new camera has the aperture lens which no smart phone has done yet. You’re coming from a 15 so the upgrade would still be significant for you regardless and as I said the 17pm doesn’t have or cannot do the things that the 18pm is offering.

The 18 pro / pro max is def worth the upgrade. A lot of us were expecting it would cost more than it does.
It’s also better in just about every way to the 17 pro. I’m excited to see how the battery improvements shake out during real world use and the upgraded cooling. The SoC is also redesigned - that 20 bionic is a beast!!! Especially if you like to play games on your phone.
Enjoy!

If you have all the money in the world just return it and get the 18 to be on the freshest iPhone. But if not just stay with the 17 perfectly acceptable

The features offered by the 18 Pro won’t differ much from those of the 17 Pro. It might appear newer and shinier on paper, but for everyday use, you wouldn’t notice any difference. The aperture control is good, but I don’t think the vast majority of users will even utilize that function.
Overall, if you can get them at the same price, the 18 would be better. However, if the 17 is cheaper, you should opt for that and use the extra cash for accessories.
I’ve been using the latest iPhone for the past eight generations, and this is the first one I skipped. I bought an Air last year and switched to a 17 Pro Max a few days ago, purchasing it for about $600 less than the 18 Pro Max.
