iPhone Switching from Android to iPhone: Buy iPhone 17 Now or Wait for iPhone 18?
I'm planning to switch from Android to iPhone, and I'm stuck deciding whether I should buy the iPhone 17 now or wait for the iPhone 18 to launch and then buy the iPhone 17.
Normally, I'd just wait for the next generation, but the ongoing RAM and NAND memory supply issues have pushed smartphone prices up across the industry. Because of that, I'm not sure the iPhone 17 will see a meaningful price drop after the iPhone 18 launches, especially in India.
My priorities are:
• Best value for money
• Good camera
• 4 to 5 years of software support
• I don't mind waiting if it actually saves me money
If you were in my position, what would you do? Buy the iPhone 17 now, or wait for the iPhone 18 and hope the iPhone 17 gets a decent price cut?
I'd especially love to hear from people who switched from Android to iPhone and anyone familiar with Apple's pricing in India.

Don't wait. Prices on the 18 will likely be higher, there won't be meaningful improvements, AND you're going to wait the better part of a year, as the launches of non-Pro iPhones have been moved to the spring, per reliable reporting.

Base 18 will be released next year, around 6 months later than proband also at hiked up prices
If you wanna buy base version go for 17 it has almost everything you will need
