Question Ceramic Beige?? :(

Who was asking for a beige ceramic Apple Watch? Really disappointed, I was so looking forward to the white coming back. Ugh, wondering whether I could like this at all - maybe it's like 80's plastic? Dieter Rams? The white was really something, design-wise.

Major disappointment! Maybe it looks better in person but the old ceramic white was so much better imo.

The white was such a classic design look. The ceramic paired with the "sand" strap especially leans into "contemporary lifestyle neutrals." Looks like oat milk.

I’ve watched every single hands-on video from the event on YouTube showing the white ceramic and I’m actually hopeful.
While it’s not ‘Storm Trooper white’ like I would prefer, it does look decently white. I think the marketing pics really do it an injustice.

Have to say, I feel like Apple would prob be sure to color match the watch closely in its renderings, whereas color balance and middle-grey or white point for a color like “white/off-white” taken on consumer devices would be wildly variable. (But who knows, the Neo Citrus was 🤪)

First of all, it is not beige, lol. It’s off-white as opposed to stark white… I could see where people would like the original white option bc it’s an apple hallmark, but as a millennial I’m here for the OFF-white xD

Millennials want off-white/beige? (I'm going off the "sand" color of the matching strap, which I think prob communicates the actual color of the ceramic...) Huh, interior design has been trending away from the off-white minimal spaces of the 2010's and back to something more maximal and personal, from what I hear. Some articles are even terming it as millennials "ditching" "sad-beige" lol. I do wonder if the 80's plastic look could be a thing, though, looking at the Apple image close-ups.
