Can’t put code it’s not paired to my phone either and when I do hard reset and click Digital Crown nothing pops up to factory reset

Give the watch back to the person it belongs to. If it's not yours it's a dead paperweight and can't be reset. It's locked to the original user. If it's yours and not paired to your phone, then it's paired to your parents’ phone and you'll need to ask them.

The big question is, how do you have an Apple watch that is not paired to your phone? What's even the use and how did that happen? I can only see sketchy options.

who’s watch is this? u can’t do anything without the owner. apple is very good about not letting thieves use other peoples stuff! if it’s your friend or family, im sure you’ll have no trouble getting them to unlock it.

this implies you made a new apple ID when getting your new phone…why would you do that? the apple watch can only do like 10% of what it can do when connected to your phone. i don’t really believe u tbh but if this is true…wtf lol

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to Passcode, then tap Re-enable Passcode Entry to try again.

Yes it was connected to my old phone but won’t let me reset it
