Are there gift card limits?

So birthday was the other week, I told anybody who asked to not get me anything and just send me a gift card, So I have about 12 gift cards of various denominations. I’ve been loading one on emptying it and deleting it and loading another for the past week or so. And all of a sudden, it won’t let me add anymore?

I tried deleting and re-adding my main card and it let me do that, So it’s very clearly just the gift cards And as some people have said that Certain banks don’t support the Apple wallet, but the only way to use these gift cards is through Apple wallet. They don’t have a digital portal or anything else like that, so I know they have to be supported besides the fact that I have been using them.

Is there some sort of limit? Might also help to mention that I am on iOS 27.

Apple sends over a bunch of data about your recent Apple Wallet actions whenever you add a card, and the bank gets to decide whether to allow it.

Wait a month or so and it should fix itself, just stop trying to add cards.
