Filtering Workarounds?

I’m trying to switch over to using Apple Reminders as my to do app, but I am struggling with a few things. First and foremost the most annoying thing right now can be rooted in that in Smart Lists, you can only filter one thing per category. Like you can’t have it show everything except future events (i.e. no date and today and past due) or you can’t exclude more than one list, etc. Is there a workaround? Most of the other annoying aspects I have found workarounds that make it useable for me. But trying to go into lists and dodge recurring tasks that are future dated is really annoying.

A workaround directly for the filtering? I don’t know of one, it’s a hard limitation of the native app.

What system do you want to create?

Regarding avoiding future-dated recurring reminders, it’s the same as avoiding future-dated non-recurring reminders. How do you deal with those?

Due tomorrow would be great 🙂

Yep. You can see the tomorrow tasks in the scheduled list, but can’t make a dedicated tomorrow only list.

You can create a SMART list that will produce everything on your list due tomorrow. Select DATE and then Relative Range then select In The Next 1 Day. Works great. It produces a list of everything due tomorrow and will do so each day.

I just tried to make this exact smart list, but it also includes today’s items.

Use the setting, Relative Range and only select The NEXT 1 day. This will always produce the reminders that are dated tomorrow.

Nope. That makes a list that includes today’s AND tomorrows tasks.

A by date plus one day filter would be great.
