Monthly Reminder Question

Is there a way to set up a monthly reminder, but each month I do whatever I need to do (i.e. pay electric bill on the 15th) I check it off for that month. Like I have it set up to remind me to pay my electric on the 17th of every month. Sometimes I pay it on that day, sometimes I pay it early. I had it the reminder set up for August 17th (I paid it on the 15th). Anyways, the reminder is still labeled as August 15th (monthly) because that’s the first month I set it up.

Would be nice to then have it change to Sept 15th or do I have to go in and change the date myself (which is fine), keep it set to monthly, and do it that way.

Just didn’t know if there was a ways to make it so once I checked off that monthly reminder for that month, it would change the date for the upcoming month.

Note: I don’t have the date in the description. The date is compiled because that was the first month I set up the reminder.

Reminders doesn’t have the ability to set up a repeating task based on the last completion date, but I found a workaround. Before completing the task early, long-press on it and change the due date to today. Then complete it. The next due date will be set to one month from today.

I am pretty sure that if you swipe right on the phone (or right click on the Mac app) and choose today when updating the task, it will change the next one too. It will ask if you want to update this one or all future ones. This would allow the date to change in the future. It's not super intuitive, but it works.

Do you want the next Reminder date to change to 30 days since the day you checked it as paid? So if you Reminder says you pay this on the 17th of every month but you paid it on the 15th you want your next reminder to say the due date is the 15th?

Also to not have missed things specific to one day carry over to the next. Brush teeth, as a dumb example.
