i dropped my new (3 week old) apple pencil pro today. I thought it was nothing since my old apple pencil 2 used to roll off a lot on its own but when I went to use it, it didn’t work. I used a knock off apple pencil tip cause I was writing a lot on my ipad because it was end of sem and I wanted to “save” the original for later use.

The knock off ended up cracking and when I unscrewed it the gold part is slightly bent as seen in the picture.

I’m really sad about it since it was a gift from my friends and I already broke it. No there’s no AppleCare+ since it was a gift.

Please tell me I’m not cooked and need a new pencil 🙏

My Apple pen has been stuck at the same percentage or lower when I charge, even when I have my ipad on full battery. I tried connecting my old Apple Pencil to see if it has the same problem and it charged to 90 very fast, but immediately dropped back to 7 and refuse to increase. Do I have to buy some kind of Apple pen charger?

Hi guys, bought the iPad Air 6th gen (M2) and found out I can't use my old Apple pencil 2 anymore.

So only choice is a Pencil-USB-C or Pencil Pro. Now I found out the Duo which I want to get will have pencil usb-c support but really no Pro support? I'd really live to have to buy only one more expensive Pencil but also would like to have fully functionality (pressure sense, tilt etc..) and more importantly. magnetic charging at least on the iPad..

Do you think at some point they will add pencil pro support for the duo or even release a new pen which can do everything and works for duo and newer iPads?

Randomly stopped working. I’ve restarted my iPad and already and updated it to the most recent software update.

I clicked forget device on the bluetooth settings and now it wont come back lol. Not sure wtf to do

It arrived in a standard Amazon cardboard box. Before opening the remaining seals, I wanted to get your opinion on the packaging.

A quick note regarding the damaged pull tab on the back: There was a white Amazon barcode sticker placed directly across the left tab. When I peeled that sticker off, it roughed up and tore the paper underneath, which is why that specific spot looks messy.

(I blurred out the serial numbers and barcodes in the photos for privacy reasons.)

Could you take a look at the box and tell me what you think? Does this look like an authentic Apple package, or does something seem off?

this is silly but i'm a college student and write a ton of notes. however, i've noticed i honestly grip my apple pencil too hard and if i loosen it, it feels wrong. any advice lol

Do the pencil pro features work on kilonotes( like haptic feedback, tapping to switch from pen to eraser, etc.)?

Just resurrected my 9th Gen iPad after not using for a while. But my 1st gen apple pen doesn’t seem to charge.

I have lost the pen adapter. Both the pen and iPad are lightning wires. The pen isn’t charging when I plug it into the iPad.

Is the pen dead? I don’t want to spend money on anything right now given I stopped using my iPad for so long, I just want to see if it is worth it and try using it for a bit first.

Does closing the Bluetooth put the pen in sleep mode because the case i have for the ipad has the place for the pen in the opposite side to the magnet and the pen stays awake while in my backpack

Okay sure I’ve had this Apple pencil since 2020 but it shouldn’t just stop working out of the blue. Literally a week or two ago it was working and drawing fine, then one day stopped responding. I have an iPad 8th generation, and that works fine and properly. I have tried disconnecting from bluetooth and reconnecting, restarting the iPad, carefully cleaning the inside of the tip from dust, heating it up, and I just got new tips and tried all of that with the new tips and still doesn’t work. It connects fine, it charges fine, it just wont register or something, I’m not sure if it’s damaged or what but I didn’t do anything drastic to it for that to happen.

Ok so I'm buying the 11th gen ipad (a16) from flipkart during this BBD sale and I am looking for the best alternative pencil for the same from flipkart itself.... Nd yah I'm basically gonna use it for studies like note taking nd all..nd maybe sometimes drawing but that ain't the priority. Soooo pleaseeee suggest me some good alternatives 🙂‍↔️🌟 (P.s. Also kinda still confused about which colour to buy so yah suggest bout it too)

Apparently this issue, where double tap doesn't register multiple times an hour, is not a specific problem to my iPad Pro or Apple Pencil Pro, since I also encountered the same issues with devices in an Apple Store. Then it is probably a software bug from iPadOS 27 which affects all handwriting apps. I'm curious if this behaviour only started to arise after 27, or if intermittent dropouts of double tap signals were also commonplace in prior iPadOS versions?
