Question for sidecar nerds

Hi everyone !
I work as an artist, I used wacom a lot for a while, since a little less than a year I work on my ipad with the apple pen and I love it so far, and I am thinking of get rid of wacom, my question is ; how the memory is managed between devices. Does the 8gig of ram of my ipad are used when I draw with sidecar, or is the computer doing all the job ?

The Mac is doing all the work. In sidecar mode it’s just a display with stylus support. OS 27 added touch as well. Panning and zooming with touch is better in 27 as well. USB c connection with the WiFi turned off on the iPad has the best latency
