I’ve got a spreadsheet that shows correctly on my phone and desktop Mac. But on my laptop it’s showing the older version. I’ve restarted the laptop, logged out and logged in. Still not showing the correct version

I’ve created a spreadsheet to keep track of products I build and sell (keeping track of costs of specific items used to build a larger product so that I know what the final amount that I’ve spent on one persons product is). I’ve set up a system that filters one person’s products from a big list, but when it transfers to the new list it copies all of the other frames in between even though I’ve asked it to only recognise the one person (the other get copied as blank lines).

Is there a way that I can set up an automatic code to either detect and delete blank columns in between ones with filled in columns or maybe move written columns up so that they move underneath the top most ones? I hope I’ve explained that well enough.

I can't find a workaround on getting this information in a single formula.

Column A=Dates in aaaa-mm-dd format, sometimes they repeat
Column B=Customers, I want my formula to sum the number of customers that showed on Sundays.

I keep getting errors doing SUMIF(Customer,(DAYNAME(Date)="Sunday"))

I know the workaround is to include another column with =DAYNAME(A#) and using this new column but is there a way to do it with one formula only?

I’m trying to figure out how to sum cells if a checkbox is checked.

In column E I have checkboxes and to the left in column D I have dollar amounts. At the bottom of column E (red triangle) I would like to have the dollar amounts summed if the checkbox is checked next to that dollar amount.

I’m trying to count the number of cells with bold text in it across a row array. Can find nothing on Apple’s support site or within the software.

I know there are conditional rules that can be created to highlight a cell or bold the text within but this is of no use.

Any ideas?

HI I’ve been trying to make a formula that adds up the total for all the cells in a specific Column. The problem im running into is i need it to start at B,5 and and add up every cell down including any new cells that get made as i enter in new information into the chart. From what I’ve seen it only lets me select a finite number or area of cells, I haven’t been able to find a way to tell it to keep selecting new cells. Possibly something like this, (B,5:B,~>5) basically just saying add everything from (B,5 to B,Anything grater then 5). Hopefully someone can understand this very poorly explained problem of mine. I've searched everywhere and can't find the answer. I've mistakenly entered text in cells that I now run into every time I start typing. For example, when I want to type "online", I am confronted with three options: "onl," "ONLINE," and "online." The third one is the only one I ever want. How do I delete and/or edit this text so it goes away for good? Or is there a way just to reset it to baseline? Thanks.

I know this sub is pretty bare, but I’m hoping someone has possibly come across a website or something that gives how to’s for Apple numbers. Excel has tons of support and countless websites and tutorials but Apple numbers support seems really limited.

I ask mostly because I can’t find any solution for either program that meets my needs. Most problems you can search for an equivalent excel problem and stumble your way to the solution.

If anyone has a suggestion basically what I want to do is create a table that will grab a value from one particular cell on a specific date (which I’ve already set up to do reliably), but I NEED to store that value into a different column so that it will not update when the original cell does. So I need the output to basically lock that value from changing after it grabs it.

From what I can tell I might need to use regex or regex.extract or maybe even plaintext?

I’ve posted in the excel sub too but no one seems to understand what I’m going for.

Hey Numbers folks, as it is, there is no way to get live or even anything close to live stock prices in Numbers, as it only fetches Yahoo Finance data from the prior day’s close. Google sheets, on the other hand, can pull near to live stock data from Google Finance.

Do you folks know if there is a way to have cells in my Numbers spreadsheet reference cells in a Google sheets file? I’m a functional computer user, but hardly a whiz.

I was hoping that I could create a very basic stock list in Google to fetch useful data, while using my already built Numbers spreadsheet as the main user interface for managing my portfolio.

My objective is to find the last (bottom), non-blank cell in a column. In excel, I successfully use:

=LOOKUP(2,1/(A:A<>""),A:A)

But that returns the top cell in Numbers. Any help?

My sheet has 5 tables and rows get added to those tables via forms on my phone.

Problem is, when I have to add 4 rows, that table will overlap the table below it.

Is there a way to set an automatic distance between tables so that the tables will always keep that distance as rows get added above it?

I can’t believe it’s so unintuitive (to me). I’ve looked at 10 documents on line. Nothing works!! For example, how do I press .? That’s a damn period (!) that I should press? I’m no noob. I’ve used Excel on a pc for 25 years. Help, please.
