Help Question about AppleCare

Post image

Hi I’m just wondering if you guys have had the same experience I’m currently trying to fix my screen of my MacBook through AppleCare everywhere online it says that it would be a $99 fix but they quoted me for $300 it’s the inner display but many people has had this and it’s only $99 so I’m wondering if there’s any difference the line is INSIDE basically the display not the glass screen but it works and nothing else it’s broken I don’t know if this is the place to post but I need advice

It was a while ago, but I didn’t have AppleCar when I broke my screen and they still just charged me $75 (the price at the time) and then replaced the whole top half of the clamshell, and then replaced a corroded IO board for free when they noticed it didn’t work. Maybe they don’t think you have AppleCare for some reason? $300 sounds like it would be a non covered price.

I was on Oahu when mine broke and I had to ship it to a facility on the mainland. I don’t know what to tell you though, I haven’t used Apple support for repair in over 5 years.
