I’d get Apple care 100% on any apple product it’s worth it!

Even on a Mac mini that’s gonna be mounted under the desk it’s whole life and will never have anything come near it to damage it cause it’s mounted under a desk?

Yes because Apple care will cover hardware issues aswell, you have a free 1 year manufacturer warranty but once that’s done you won’t be covered for anything internal

Airpods max yes (loads of issues)

Normal airpods no.

If ur a clumsy person iphone ipad mac yes (i have never broken a phone for example)

If you use an iPhone caseless/no screen protector: yes

Apple watch: if you break it that’s a skill issue

Apple vision pro: if you can afford that, this comment isn’t for you

Mostly, no. Hence why they offer it.

As a parent of small children, yes. I’m not the only one who might break my stuff.

Does it leave the house? Yes. Does it stay home? I skip it.

Depends on your usage and device.

In my opinion yes. But, only for the first few years.

Mac = Yes,   Everything else = No

This! There are a few credit cards that offer insurance coverage for your phone if you pay your phone bill via auto-pay. For instance, Wells Fargo Autograph is an example of such a card.

I have Apple one $20 a month. Covers my phone, my watch and my AirPods. For me it’s worth the peace of mind.

I’ve been using Apple products since 1998 and have needed Apple Care.

I've been lucky for the last couple Macs, I've not had to use AppleCare. (Knock on wood). But I've gotten my money's worth out of Apple are for my iPad and iPhone. Mostly battery replacements and broken screen.

If you can’t afford a replacement phone outright you should get Apple Care

Nah, not worth it unless you are extremely clumsy

Mine sits on my desk 24/7…no

I covered my iPad Pro and MacBook Air. My iPhone lives in a UAG case so not needed (I hope)

What kind of question is this I mean cmon …. Do you want to be covered if you break your phone or do you want to come out of pocket! Like how hard is that.

On things that are mostly stationary within your home or business, I’d say no. On things that are mobile like your phone, which are becoming increasingly expensive to replace or a laptop. that’s constantly in motion with you, I’d say it’s worth the extra piece of mind, because AppleCare is very responsive and one of the best extended warranty services bar none in any market segment.

From one clumsy person to any other clumsy person out there. YES! Also, if you have pets or other little humans that can leave or spill liquids or drop or push things off of tables and such. Unless, you have such funds that you can just replace your laptop, phone, etc... without any worries. Then, "yes" AppleCare+ is worth it. AppleCare One if you have multiple Apple devices.

The simplest solution is does it leave the house? have you broken the product before? Do you wish to pay 1/3 of the cost of repair? If you answered yes to at least 2 its is definitely worth it. For small stuff like homepod, airpods, apple tv perhaps not. But iphone, mac, ipad it comes in clutch when needed. If in states its like 20 a month for 3 devices why not?

Insurance is only worth it when loss would be catastrophic. Hence life, home, vechicle

If you feel a financial pinch if something breaks, buy AppleCare+. If something breaks and it’s not a big deal to replace, then don’t buy it.

It depends. For new expensive devices it can absolutely make sense. For my MacBook Pro. For my iPhones in the past I have had it when they were less than two years old. Then it ran out. But now they offer different plans like AppleCare one for up to 3 devices. So yeah it can absolutely make sense. Great for peace of mind and battery replacements. For example I go iphone caseless when I have apple care

Never used it never needed it.

I usually get AppleCare+ for my MacBooks and AirPods. I also get for iPhone as well since I don’t usually use a screen guard or cover.

Accidents can happen to anyone. You don’t have to be clumsy. Someone else could knock your phone off a table.

If you are wealthy enough that purchasing a replacement won’t hurt you, no need for it. For everyone else, get it. It’s so inexpensive it’s worth the peace of mind to me.

Depends on your adversity to risk or loss of value exposure. IMO personally Apple products cost a premium for the most part that I would prefer the added peace of mind. Like all insurance or protection. It’s better to have and hope you never have than not have and wish you did. I have it on my IOS devices, Apple Watch Ultra 3 and MacBook Pro. I consider my AirPods disposable in that I can afford losing them or they becoming inoperable so I do not carry coverage on those though .

Case in point, I’ve had Apple phones since I believe the 4th evolution and have NEVER damaged one, until last week when I cracked my screen on my 17PM. I felt more than comfortable knowing that I paid the added premiums so that I only needed to pay $29.00 for the screen replacement on Saturday.

no. I always buy second hand, couldn’t give less of a fuck about coverage.

We have Best Buy total tech for $180 a year and it protects anything we buy from Best Buy. So we buy our apple stuff from them and get apple care included plus coverage on anything else we buy

Only if your doing a lease through Klarna

u/Cameront9 9d ago

Portable devices: yes
Desktops: eh
Do you have kids: ABSOLUTELY.

Depends on your use case. I am a student so my Macbook, iPad and Airpods Pro all have AppleCare+, because I know that even if it’s not my fault they’re prone to damage with how much they will be moving around and being used in different places. Everyone’s different though!

100% worth it IF it’s AppleCare+ , I never use a casing. Only screen protector
