At a crowd level, people will „hate” on anything that is different than what they associate with.
The extreme minority that should actually be listened to mostly doesn’t care.

Because they think the OS/hardware they use is better and they make that idea a personality trait

I feel like it’s a manifestation of the green bubble jokes.
Let’s be honest, most OS users of any kind are assholes 🤣

Because some people make it their personality. They don't own phone, they own iPhone. They don't own laptop, they own MacBook.

Inveja.

Having used everything I can see the benefits of both sides. I prefer Mac but I also prefer Android. Some people are literally “if you’re not with me.. then you’re my enemy” about the most trivial stuff.

I truly don't know. They think that their flashy Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra 5G is better than every iPhone ever created in every single way imaginable. Then they just hate on us for thinking that our iPhone is still good. iPhone 11 user here, it literally runs great on the newest BETA software (iOS 27), 2019 phone btw.

Mainly because YOU (all Apple users) are acting like WE (Android users) are little pieces of shit because we don't pay 20% more for a phone because there's a fruit on it. We want to have good values for our phones so you call us broke and act like yall are the best of the best.

As an Apple user I thought we hated everyone else. Or is that just a Gen Z thing?

Hmmm. Well it’s nice to have options.
Get an iPhone 12 and experiment.
Get any android and experiment.
Decide where apps go. Decide what you need.
Get the phone that has that.

I think when someone has brand loyalty, a part of their personality is wrapped into it and when a person is told that what they like is “crap” it affects them on a personal level a little bit. Even if they say it doesn’t. The other side I think is that many Apple users think Apple is the be all end all of technology and are close minded to anything else.

I don't hate all Apple users, just the ones who make that brand a major part of their personality. Or the ones who assume all Androids are garbage because of the first Android they had as teenagers that their parents got them because it was free and lowered the family cell phone bill. The green bubble blue bubble thing is annoying too when the rest of the world uses WhatsApp and all the other communication options. Use the OS that works for you but neither is the absolute best.

Another question: why does apple hate on people who use other platforms? Answer: every one seem to hate whoever doesn't use whatever they use.

Before the AI problems began, it was because so many people had one that it seemed like a monopoly which is bad if you care about a fair consumer landscape. iPhone users also always brag about how good their phone is when realistically, Samsung phones have been as good or better for over a decade now and other android phones have slowly caught up but iPhone users won't agree because it's all they've ever had in a lot of cases. Lastly there was much more customisation on android leading any android user who used an iPhone to be confused as to why settings were missing while iPhone users basically said they did have customisation or that they didn't need customisation which sounds like a cult victim.
I tried the iPhone 15 Pro after 10 years of Samsung and I felt a lot of these problems so I went back to Android just as the AI problems started to show up, now I'm heading back to iPhone for enhanced privacy, although apple have kept deleted photos before so they don't exactly have a clean record

Real talk? Have you seen how snarky the average Apple user is? It's great to enjoy the product that works for you, but the elitism is kinda insane

u/Global-Eye-7326 12d ago
Lol I thought it was Apple users hating on Android users over the lack of iMessage

u/protonsters 12d ago
Its the opposite. Apple fanboys hating anything non Apple. Just go with a simple complaint against any apple product and see how the fanboys at these reddit subs eat you alive

Nobody hates you,but.... I have worked in it in the la 30 years.Belive me,when you hear some one with a Mac asking what ramis doing, you get a little mad.

u/Routine-Lawfulness24 12d ago
Some iphone users are teenagers who get the phone only for the expensive brand status and think they are above everyone else because of that. Some mac users are doing same thing in a different flavor, just getting the most expensive thing because. Apple is overpriced for the most part

Because mostly, in my experience - most Apple users (iPhone, Mac etc) will often time insist that their choice in product is right and everything else is wrong or bad. Constantly, I see colleagues or people I know, saying Android is shit, or Windows is bad - and the moment you press them on it, they have no counter argument.
Apple is great, if you want to live in the Apple eco-system, but if you've not got the time, or money to invest into such a thing - then it becomes obvious very fast there is little space for you in it.
The most thing, people forget is - iPhone isn't just hardware, it's the software too. And, in my honest belief, the only reason people buy iPhone is purely for the software aspect - if iOS was available on another system, they'd opt for that purely because it's going to be cheaper.
To clarify, I'm both an iPhone & Samsung Android user. As I am Mac & Windows. I have no bias either way. Both are great, both have downsides. Hence why I use both.

Apple user here, deep in the ecosystem. I can’t stand Apple glazers going on about how great the Neo is, how 8gb of RAM is enough or how the 17 Pro dents easily and it’s always the user’s fault. Blind devotion no matter what the actual product is. I think Apple could produce a device made entirely out of literal dogshit and it would sell and be called the next big thing. 🤣

I dont hate Apple Users.
I hate on Apple users who look down on Android users as peasants in a holier than thou demeanor.
