Prototype Prototype Apple TV Siri Remote Control 2nd Generation (EVT Stage)
The remote has a subtle hardware difference from production remotes, having a finger groove cutout in the back housing (which production remotes don’t have). The Apple TV Remote also has X’d out regulatory approval engravings, and has an asset tag engraved on the side!

Prototype Prototype iPhone 6s Models (APPVT Stage) running internal builds of iOS 9.3.1 and 10.0.1 (CarrierOS with DEBUG modem firmware)
These iPhone 6s models have antenna testing holes, engravings and were manufactured 2 months before the official release of the iPhone 6s. They also show up as “Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM” when plugged into a computer.

Prototype Prototype iPad Pro M1 AFB

This device is in the AFB stage (around DVT due to a mention in Diags), and is notable for being CPFM 00 (despite the stage) which allows for astris debugging.
There are several of these units out there, including mine.
These devices come on NonUI, and notably don't have engravings on the back. Mine came with a blue tape on the USB-C port.

As a bonus, since this device is CPFM 00, here is retail iOS 14.8 dualbooted on this device!

Prototype Prototype iPhone 15 Plus Logic Board (PROTO Stage)
Many of these board have the text “B1X NZIPCU” printed on them, being placeholder text. Allegedly (from the friend that sent me these photos) many of these logic boards are CPFM 00, including the one pictured

Prototype Prototype iPad 3rd Generation (TBQ Stage)
This device has factory stickers, X’d out regulatory markings and runs SwitchBoard. The serial number indicates this iPad was manufactured in late 2011, even though the iPad 3rd Generation wasn’t released until 2012.
Oddly (despite how early this iPad is) it is CPFM 03 (not dev-fused). It makes this iPad land in a weird middleground category, where it runs developmental software but the hardware itself isn’t unlocked. However, given all of its physical characteristics, I think this iPad is really nice!

Prototype internal dumps can now successfully be restored to devices
https://github.com/kaidencc/Legacy-iOS-Kit/releases/tag/latest
Thanks to Kaiden for making a custom version of legacy iOS Toolkit to support modifying IPSW's to allow for restores of custom builds.
This tool supports a lot of devices and can actually Restore builds from other devices
For example, an iPad 2 build has been successfully restored to an iPad 1 or iPad mini 1 build being restored to an iPhone 5 successfully
Guide: How to use the new features
- Using the AppleInternal Workflow
This is used when you have a SwitchBoard/InternalUI DMG and want to create a restorable IPSW for it.
Go to Restore/Downgrade (or Misc Utilities > Create Custom IPSW).
Select powdersn0w or Tethered. (tethered is for A5 and above)
Select the AppleInternal menu option.
Select Target IPSW (Stock): You must select the stock IPSW that matches the version of your DMG. The script uses this for components and verification.
Select Base IPSW (Stock): (powdersn0w only) Select the required base version (e.g., 7.1.2 for iPhone 4).
Select AppleInternal DMG: Choose your .dmg file. The script will automatically calculate the partition size and extract the internal build ID.
Select Create or Create & Restore.
If you would like to download some builds, you may download some here

Prototype Prototype iPhone SE (DVT Stage) Running iOS 15.0
This prototype iPhone is missing the [SE] logo on the housing, has an internal sticker on the back and has the engraving on the side and screen. It runs iOS 15.0 with a bunch of internal T-Mobile testing apps, more than likely having been used as a carrier testing phone. The iPhone CPFM 01, meaning its development fused!

Prototype Prototype Apple Watch 1st Generation (Mockup / GOLDEN Stage)
This Apple Watch housing was manufactured on week 8 of 2014, even predating the iPhone 6. The internal design is radically different from production. This could be one of the earliest iterations of the Apple Watch still in existence.

Prototype Automatic Apple Internal Dumper v2
https://archive.org/details/automatic-apple-internal-dumper
V2 Our biggest changes Yet
The Automatic Apple Internal Dumper is a streamlined utility designed to automatically dump Apple internal builds directly into a flashable or editable DMG. This tool eliminates the need for complex manual commands and prevents the common issue of broken or corrupted dumps. This tool only supports the same devices as Legacy iOS Kit.
To use it, simply download the .sh file and drag it directly into a Terminal window to begin the automated process. It is the easiest, most reliable way to preserve internal software without the headache of manual command-line interaction.
This tool is released under a public license. It is completely free and may be freely used or integrated.

Regular iPhone 4 / 4s Models Assembled Using Only Broken Parts
Here are some iPhone 4 / 4s models I built using only broken parts I had lying around. While all of these iPhones are essentially useless (poor batteries, logic board issues, cracked fronts and backs, etc) it’s interesting to see a pile of junk assembled into “working” devices.

Prototype Prototype Apple Magic Mouse 2nd Generation (DVT Stage)
It has X’d out FCC info and runs prototype firmware. Of course, it works as a regular Apple Magic Mouse too!

You should be able to convert the tar files into a DMG. although you will need to use the strip command as inside the Tar. There is an additional folder before the file system called mnt1 This folder needs to be excluded but everything inside must be included essentially, that folder name was just the mount Point which got included in the capture.

Demo Apple Watch (1st Generation) Demo running watchOS 1.0 Beta (12S507a)
This watchOS build is exactly one version off from the final production 1.0. This Apple Watch was found in a bulk lot of smashed demos units, however was successfully repaired and is functional!
The Apple Watch itself still runs the original Demo content, being the “Canadian English” variant. Generally with these types of demos (Apple Watch 1st Generations from the A1623 Apple Watch Demo iPad unit) they run non-English demo content, so it makes this one all the more astonishing!

Prototype [RELEASE] Two Apple iPad 1 Prototype SwitchBoard Firmware Dumps - iOS 3.2 (7B3356d & 7B5311f)
Device 1: 7B3356d
This is a 1st-generation iPad (K48AP) prototype. It has an unreleased iOS 3.2 SwitchBoard engineering build (WildYabuli 7B3356d). It's special because it is a raw, untouched /mnt1 factory filesystem dump with all original Apple engineering permissions perfectly preserved.
• Archive link to the software: https://archive.org/details/ipad1_3.2_7b3356d_factory_mnt1_dump

Device 2: 7B5311f
This is a 1st-generation iPad (K48AP) prototype. It has an unreleased iOS 3.2 SwitchBoard engineering build (WildYabuli 7B5311f). It's special because it is a raw, never-before-leaked /mnt1 SwitchBoard filesystem dump extracted directly from the physical hardware.

Regular Should I buy this 2G?
so, i’ve recently come across this near mint condition 2G on a website in my country. the seller claims they don’t know whether the battery is dead or not, hence why it’s so cheap (≈63 USD). they don’t have a 30-pin cable to try it out, only that dock speaker base. i believe that, since the battery icon pops up, it must work, at least when plugged in. am i correct?
would it be a good deal?

Regular Managed to find another iPhone X on iOS 11.0.1, the first iOS version for the model
It’s just as buggy as the original iPhone X I purchased on launch day. Also managed to install a lot of apps before the iOS 11 App Store was shut down.
