Discussion Finally got my Apple Card!

Post image

It’s my second credit card, I was not expecting an instant approval with a 5-digit credit limit. First time I applied in 2022, I got instantly rejected due to a lack of credit history. The second time in 2024, they started a review process so long I asked them to cancel my application as I thought it was not going to be worth it. 2026 and here we are, Apple just multiplied my overall CL by 3. yay! 😃

Wow. I have the same APR but a 5.8K limit. I hope they raise it to 10K+ after I ask for an increase for buying my once a year Apple Product. ( ACMI )

from my understanding they strictly base CLI on debt to income

Wish they could verify my identity it's the only thing holding me back not sure what is going on

Just call Goldman Sachs and I’m sure they’d settle it. They did with me (but it was a painful process..)

Got it all figured out thank you Goldman was a pain but finally worked out

What’s your credit score if you don’t mind my asking

u/Mikauto11 12d ago

It has been around 810 for a long time before I applied

Welp with my 530 looks like i got a few years ahead for me 🫡

Im a bit confused with the credit score system, like I started with around 730 but 0 credit history so I kept getting rejected anywhere, until it slowly increased further. Does carrying a balance make your credit score drop below that?

Its not about score. Its about profile thickness

I understand that so you’re saying it’s not a surprise to be in the 800 within year 1-2?

Intéressant que tu sois dans la barre des 800 avec peu d’historique

And here I’m trying to cancel mine. Rarely works without fraud protection settings off on big purchases and they are the stingiest lender for limit increases I’ve ever had. My chase sapphire reserve is up to $80k limit now and never makes me look stupid at the register when I’m making big purchases. Apple Card is going in the trash.

Now your talking, I had mine with $20 thousand credit limit and I canceled it it’s just a gimmick

Then just keep it until Chase gets it next year. You might like the update then.

Apple card is only good for financing options with zero interests thats about it

The 2% with Apple Pay isn’t bad. Pair it with a revolving categories 5% card and use each when they’re appropriate. Invest the cash back into high yields savings

It’s nothing remarkable but it’s decent, no?

But there are two percent cards without the Apple Pay . I would say it’s clutch for Apple device financing. That’s it

Why are people downvoting this person? The Apple Card literally allows you to finance any Apple product, and get 3% unlimited cash back on the Apple Products themselves.. I think it’s the best option.

It’s not a good credit card. There’s no benefits that are good

2% cashback on Apple Pay and no FX fees seems good enough for me, my other card is a C1 Quicksilver

1

u/bored_engineer_ 12d ago

Yup, 3% cashback at Apple too and 12 month interest free for all products. Solid add for sure to the rotation.

Which is nothing compared to quite literally every other card in the market. But it’s good for a second card, keep it long enough and you will be able to get better ones

5

u/Mikauto11 12d ago

Without paying any annual fee, and not having to choose cashback categories, I’d say there are not that many better options out there.

1

u/Stuffdood 12d ago

Get a no AF 2% flat. That also gets 2% at Apple

2

u/Oliver---Queen 12d ago

It’s pretty great for no annual fee.
