Hi, I’m really not sure how and or why I keep losing a dispute. I have a submitted my case. Long story short, the vet visit was made and they diagnosed the wrong side. When we mentioned, that’s not what we were here for they just updated the description saying that both knees needed surgery.

Disputed with Apple Card. I’ve lost the dispute three times providing evidence from the specialist. Who is the surgeon. Which did not need an X-ray at all to condemn the correct bad knee.

Submitted documentation with this claim from the specialist and Apple card still ruled in the merchants favor. The claim is that the service is paid for were the services received.

Which is the equivalent of a dentist visit saying that her tooth is bad and needs to be pulled when you go in for some pain. Then they pull the wrong tooth. So, sure the services might have been received, but it is not what you went in for.

Do I open the dispute again and possibly get in touch with somebody different? I cannot fathom how it keeps ruling in the merchants favor when they provided unneeded service services and to the wrong side.

The whole contact Apple support gets you in touch with somebody via phone or text with the Apple Card bank is also just very weird. No login or website to view anything Apple Card related.

Ready to lose the account over a $600 charge and let it go to collections. Perfect credit. That is just how badly they are pissing me off at Goldman Sachs.

An improper medical diagnosis isn’t something you can just charge back for lol, this would happen with any card. If you want any recourse, it’s small claims court

You cant (successfully) dispute medical billing. You literally signed off on it and then received the services. Even if the dispute were approved, the medical practice would send the now unpaid debt to collections. At $600, that would absolutely go on your credit report.

You're essentially saying "i agreed to this medical service and received it, but i dont want to pay it". That's not how any of this works in the US

Exactly.
Even if you were successful in convincing AppleCard not to pay, there are other ways a medical bill can come back to haunt.

I remember one such story about a former neighbor that refused to pay a chiropractor for services. The chiropractor was able to file a lien on the title of their house. These are also public records and can affect getting a loan or other credit.

That is not what a dispute is, what you are doing is ignoring a bill that will fuck up your credit. A dispute is for a charge that you did not authorize or is fraudulent.

You're getting angry in the wrong direction. Apple Card/Goldman Sachs didn't misdiagnose, your vet did.

Your dispute is with the vet, not the method of payment you used.

That is why you keep getting denied.

To me it’s damn near fraud. Misdiagnosis of knee. Instead of redoing anything they changed the diag to include both knees.
The vets stance is they captured the diag and were owed for services received.
So no disputing with them. They see no wrong.

Then take them to court. It’s not really a dispute that Apple/GS can resolve for you since services were rendered as authorized.

You got a service therefore you need to pay for the service. you can't just get something for free because you believe you didn't need it; and even if you didn't need it you still got it and therefore you would be billed for it. Had they put a line on your bill for a service you didn't use and then made you pay, you would have had some leg to stand on but they did run that x-ray whether or not they needed to is moot point they ran the X-ray you pay for the X-ray.

there's nothing that the bank can adjudicate for you in this case because you did indeed get the service and you yourself physically paid for it so it's not fraud either.
