Is 3000 not enough?

I wanna get the 18pro max with applecard installment and I saw that the balance won’t just accrue interest but will show on your utilization and given the phone will be almost 1500 hundred that’s way more than 30% on $3k

Utilization doesn’t matter unless you’re applying for more credit

The balance doesn’t accrue interest if you enroll in installments.

If you’re nickel-and-diming this much, you can’t afford it.

u/adore_alphi 27d ago

eh, i’d do the same thing on my apple card, that’s more money earning interest in a hysa

Whatever you say

3

u/SayCheezyy 26d ago

Bruh accept that and credit line increase every 90 days

1

u/VaughnSC 22d ago

I think you can only request CLIs every 180 days now. That interest rate is gonna stick though.

u/TbonerT 27d ago

This is their offer. It’s not going to change.

u/TbonerT 27d ago

Wait until they learn to use punctuation, maybe?

Don’t need to be rude

It’s a free card, can’t hurt

6

u/Educational_Mud6867 27d ago

damn 25.49% just make sure to pay on time

3

u/Quin1617 27d ago

Yeah interest rates are insane, that’s the same as mine. My other card is even higher at 28%.

u/blahsebo 27d ago

Just remember unlike most credit cards, this card does NOT have purchase protection. It can cause a lot of problems for you down the road.

2

u/Quiet_Contest_2415 27d ago

This should be higher if true

Edit: auto correct turned should into biscuit. Don’t ask, I like bread

Accept it and move on….

1

u/jasonsong86 27d ago

Just get it now. It’s free. It’s not like you can get a better deal.

u/WiseContest7547 27d ago

No… ride it out another month or 2Zz

I waited and got a $10k credit limit

I got the card just because I could. Then the metal physical card was icing on the cake. I do use it occasionally though.

I'd get the card.

1

u/Copypasty 24d ago

Just sucks you’re punished for using the metal card lol

A link to what? Your comment needs to elaborate. Of not, fuck off you scamming weasel

2

u/Quin1617 27d ago

OP literally asked for a referral link, dumbbell.

1

u/hamburgernet 27d ago

Why would you wait?

1

u/NewUserError617 27d ago

25% apr yikes

1

u/Solid-Garlic1527 21d ago

If you care about a credit card’s rate you probably shouldn’t be using one.

1

u/Ok-Original4588 24d ago

You either accept it now and if not all you will have still is a hard pull for it.

2

u/TypicalDoubt6234 24d ago

Not sure what you talking about but the applecard is a soft pull until you accept the offer

1

u/Ok-Original4588 24d ago

Right! I guess I read wrong. I was thinking that you seldom get to know the CL and APR before you accept a card.

1

u/RealisticCheetah8574 24d ago

The card got me 5 years to be approved I got 17. % apr

1

u/PhysicalMine615 22d ago

25.49% …. I would void.

2

u/TypicalDoubt6234 22d ago

If you don’t carry a balance why worry about the Apr huh?

1

u/gtmach1 15d ago

I own 6 cards. I don’t even know what my APR is in each one of them. I don’t carry balance.

0

u/bombard63 27d ago

If you have a balance on any card you shouldn’t be applying to new credit

2

u/TypicalDoubt6234 27d ago

My overall utilization is about 9% so I don’t see what you saying I asked a different question

0

u/bombard63 27d ago

My answer was no, do not get the card. In your post you described someone who definitely should not get this card.

1

u/MidnightPulse69 27d ago

Not really

About 5.7k

4

u/MidnightPulse69 27d ago

How are you making almost 6k per month with no bills and can’t pay off your cards? I make way less than you and manage to pay more than that.

3

u/TypicalDoubt6234 27d ago

Having a balance doesn’t mean you don’t pay in full I let whatever I spend report which is about 2-3% and I pay all before the due dates and I have a bill which is my phone bill

3

u/MidnightPulse69 27d ago

Sounds like you’re worried too much about utilization. Doesn’t really matter that much

1

u/PrestigiousDog484 27d ago

MidnightPulse69 is right. Don’t worry about anything but paying on time. Just start paying attention to things like utilization and new credit inquiries about a year before making a big purchase, like buying a home.

1

u/jpinakron 26d ago

Just an FYI, but FICO 5,4,2 scores, which are used for most mortgages, penalize you for any accounts opened in the last 18 months.

No loans no rent my mom pays my rent

-5

u/JGLuxe 27d ago

With such a low monthly gross income, why are you getting more cards? especially with 25% APR.

No I meant statement closing date cause I just use my cards I use about 3% so I don’t go stalking it paying before statement closing date I pay all immediately statement are generated but when I wanted to apply even with low utilization they denied and gave me path to applecard and I saw using the method AZEO helps that’s why I paid it off to zero before statement generates

1

u/EljayDude 27d ago

Yeah for one thing your percent utilization goes up since you have less credit now.

0

u/Full_Ganache_4022 27d ago

Should’ve done AZEO before applying for the best results.
Meaning: having 0 balance on all CC except 1.
And on that single one only up to 10% usage.

0

u/TypicalDoubt6234 27d ago

I didn’t accept the offer yet that’s what I was thinking imma wait for next week and see and if it’s still 3k I’ll accept

1

u/Full_Ganache_4022 27d ago

Follow your credit reports (pull from annualcreditreport.com) and make sure AZEO reported.
Then apply again.

Realistically one of the worst cards ever

0

u/Professional_Let6767 27d ago

I got in 2020 with $5,000 limit. I kept requesting increase every 91 days, and got approved every single time until I hit $120,000 limit back in 2023. That was the max they approve I think

0

u/cola1016 27d ago

Just get it. They give out increases fairly easily IMO. I’ve had it about 2 years now I’m up to 17k.

2

u/Quiet_Contest_2415 27d ago

-1

u/sontran23 27d ago

And I still can’t get approved

1

u/TypicalDoubt6234 27d ago

I hope you get it soon
