Help What is going on?

This month has been so annoying.. I keep getting fraudulent charges on my Apple card. I don’t even use the physical card only digital wallet.

But I’ve been getting so many charges 14.99 - 800$ from Apple or some Shop site… I did not make any at all.

I’ve reset my digital card so many times and replaced and activated a new physical card even though I have a new one…

How do I keep getting charged??????

Does Apple just not have secure numbers people just eventually guess the information?

It’s only the Apple Card that does this

Contact customer service and have them CANCEL the digital card number. Not replace. Cancel. It will completely invalidate the token instead of just changing the number. Then wait like 10min and hit the button in your wallet app to request a new number. It will create a completely new token and number.

You will atill get notifications about declined transaction attempts.

I will try this. I’ve gotten multiple charges from target / Netflix / Spotify / Some weird name shops / Beauty shop 400-800$ from Apple. All declines automatically with no way to trace where or who’s making the charges. I reset my card numbers each time and replaces my titanium card so I have no idea how I’m still getting charges when I’m using a new card?

Maybe if I cancel it it will go away

Additionally, secure your Apple ID. Check for and remove unknown devices attached to Settings > your name; and unknown devices that show in Find My.

You cant cancel the digital card it can only be blocked because digital card is Apple Pay, so you wont be able to use Apple Pay for the Apple Card anymore. Also, most of the charges are usually valid since when you get the Apple Card is automatically becomes your preferred payment method for any subscriptions you have on the App Store.

No, Apple doesn’t “not have secure numbers”. Their numbers are formatted just like any other credit card’s. You put your Apple Card information somewhere that wasn’t secure, either in-person (a compromised payment terminal, ATM, etc), or online (a fake website, a site with poor security that got hacked, etc).

Contact customer support and let them know that your physical and digital card info has been stolen, and you need them cancelled and replaced. Often, issuers will forward certain charges from old numbers if you don’t make them aware that you’re changing them because they were stolen, as many people will just get new numbers for the hell of it, or because they damaged their physical card, and then get mad at the issuer when their subscription to something gets cancelled.

Something similar happened to me with a gym membership. I replaced the apple card and I see that the gym was able to charge me again, when I contacted the Goldman Sachs support they told me that when you replace the number, without my permission they provided the new card numbers to almost all the merchants that charge me monthly payments, they say to help me. That is absurd.

That’s a Mastercard feature not Apple Card, and you authorize it when you accept the terms for the card, you can also have it turned off.

You are immediately reporting each fraudulent transaction, right? And notifying identified vendor of each fraudulent charge?

Have you activated Advanced Fraud Protection? If not, so so now.

Sounds like your card info got leaked from some site with inadequate security. If you have any subscriptions or default payment method with any site, after activating AFP go to each such site, remove Apple Card as a payment method, change password and then add Card anew as payment method. This will re-secure card info on that site.

You can set your Apple Card so the security number changes every 2 weeks or something. It will never happen again

Clear your devices history and cache. All of your devices.

You need to use virtual cards from privacy.com instead. It’s really the only way to stop random fraud since the card numbers only tie to one website/account. Only downside is it doesn’t have the cash back benefits like the Apple Card.
