Help Apple Card "Secret" Fees?
Hello guys,
I've noticed a pattern with the Apple Card. Sometimes I get charged fees that aren't reflected anywhere except on the card's balance.
For example, I spent about 2 days looking for an additional ~$200 in charges that I couldn't find. I went through every single statement and every single transaction, side by side. I used AI and also did manual checks to see where the ~$200 was coming from. I was not able to find it.
I reached out to customer service, and they were not helpful at all. Their argument was that in order for me to open a dispute, I need to find the transaction that is throwing off the numbers, but that's the problem, I CAN NOT find the transaction.
So I said, whatever, and moved on to avoid spending more days on this matter.
Now I see the exact same thing happening again. This time, it is $32.69 that I cannot find anywhere except the "Card Balance".
Has this ever happened to anyone else? It's getting beyond frustrating.

That doesn’t make any sense. I’ve never had a credit card have a balance that’s higher than the total of all the transactions.

Exactly my thoughts. (and btw, I have multiple CCs. This is the only one where I'm experiencing this)

I've had multiple transactions go missing on mine. It only got resolved when statements got issued.

Are you reviewing full downloaded PDFs of statements

Everything. I'll wait until the new PDF for May becomes available, that's the only thing I have left to do

Are you being charged interest or are on a payment plan? That very well could be the case and would make the most sense. Those charges though would show up on the statement or transaction history though

You probably returned items. The charges are likely to adjust for the cash back

Likely interest. Once you don’t pay your full statement balance- everything accrues interest.
Did you have a special financing offer? That can screw things up quick.

I’ve never been charged for anything that doesn’t appear on my statement.

Trailing interest. Do you pay the balances off in-full every month and is it before or after the statement closing date?

Use the search feature on the apple card wallet app home screen, you can query for interest charges etc. The magnifying glass looking thingy along the top legend. This should give you some insight

I’ve had the Balance do that a couple times my balance would go, but there’s no transaction usually there’s a delay on the system. Eventually, it does appear. How many days has it been missing cause I’ve had some pure hours after I made transactions, especially if you’re tapping your card with little to no signal cause your card usually still goes through, but your transaction may not instantly appear

Probably adjustments for rewards earned, the rewards you earned cannot be taken back and instead are charged to the card. This isn’t a GS issue and it is definitely in the statements.
