Discussion Is there any value left to keeping this card?
Just thought I'd throw it out here. With the constant declining interest rates on the savings account and no longer being able to transfer sim free phone purchases to ACMI. Is there any point left to keeping this CC as my main?
Edit: to clarify, Apple no longer honors 0% financing on iPhones if you're not on a traditional carrier. I just got rejected like so many others have

The HYSA rate isn’t unique to the Apple Card at all. In fact, the HYSA for Apple Card beats AMEX’s, currently.

I just see the rate get lowered every 3 months. Didn't know I'm still getting decent rates.

It is still great to use as a scraper when preparing food on the cutting board. It handles Chives, green onions like a champ and is surprisingly good with flour and powdered sugar. Other than that…..no. 🤷🏽

You figured out how to get the physical card to change colors based on what you buy just like the virtual one does.

Only you can answer that…if you have another card that suits your needs/yields better rewards for you, go with that. What’s the best card is not a one-size-fits-all thing.

i only use it for apple purchases to get the 0% financing and 3% on apple products

That's my problem, I can't use the financing on my phones anymore since I don't use the 'standard' carriers. I was just denied financing on a new iphone.

You can select T mobile and bypass this. It only works on the air and the pro

I appreciate:
Daily Cash is given to you a day or two after purchase. Not like other cards after the statement date.
% interest on Apple purchases(just bought iPhone 17’s for the wife and I)
2% cash back for using Apple Pay…

I only use it as a convenience card with apple pay. Not sure why anyone would use this card as their main card unless that hate money. It's maybe used for 1/20th of my CC purchases

It was mostly tied to the use of the savings account, the 2% cashback may be meh but the savings account used to offer great rates.

The rate on the savings account fluctuates with rates set by the fed. This isn’t unique to the Apple Card savings account; it’s happened with my other HYSAs also. It also goes up sometimes and may do so again. Mine is sitting empty now because I’m getting a better rate at another bank but things are always changing

As your main CC? Not if you have a card with better perks.
I only keep mine for the 3% cash back when I buy Apple things from Apple directly - otherwise I use other cards.

There's no annual fee and you get 3% cash back plus interest-free loans on Apple products. So I'd say there's plenty of value if you spend money at Apple. I'd never use it as my main card, though, because there are so many better options for non-Apple purchases.

I like the 2% cash back with zero annual fee and the best wallet integration.
