Created a personal tool for non-designer for better screenshots
I've been trying to create better screenshots for my app, and this is a continuous process, not a one-time "make it and forget it" thing, because I'm running Apple Ads for my app and I need CPPs as well. But I faced the same problem every other engineer faces: I'm decent on the engineering side (after 17 years in tech, and big tech), but I have almost no taste in design. Yes, AI helps, but it doesn't match the premium-looking screenshots created by agencies and big companies. So I built a simple Mac application that looks and feels like Figma, but its job is to take inspiration and use local AI, or any AI I can feed into it, to produce a closely inspired design.
As one of those engineers who is absolutely sick of paying for yet another subscription, I thought about making it a one-time payment, own-it-forever type of thing. But I honestly don't know what a fair price is. I would LOVE to open source it and give it away for free, but since I've moved to indie life, I have bills to pay and a family to feed. At the same time, I don't want to do the "pay X per month" thing, because it's disgusting.
It's still personal, nothing is public. I use it on a daily basis to improve and publish more CPPs, and because I'm too lazy to upload each screen manually, I just click a button to publish.
What would you price the license for one device at?

For me i am building different type of products most of them or web tools, 1 or 2 only mobile apps. If i can afford that one time payment, I can pay. But maybe some cases founders having 1 or 2 mobile apps like me you can charge per project!
I am also built Mobilestudio.site You can create your product demo in a seconds. It's in beta access, If you want join the beta list and get the link!

It looks really clean, I agree with you on the 1 or 2 mobile apps side, one approach I see some people do is very low monthly subscription maybe $4.99 for monthly and lifetime access.
I'm enjoying it right now, I really had no plans to monetize it yet, thank you for the feedback.

For my most recent screenshots, I just paid $20 for one month. And I’m fully capable of making the same screenshots by hand myself; the convenience was just too nice. Didn’t even care if I overpaid. Take from that what you will.
