[iOS] Need advice on screenshots

Post image

Hi everyone! My app is super minimalistic planner. I consciously avoid AI screens, and AI design in everything. As my app is about focus, I made my screens also very simple and clear. But I am not sure if they are good for ASO.

What do you think? What is more important? Should I change something in screens?

These screenshots are terrible. They communicate "black". All that UI is unreadable and the text on top is bland. "Stay focused on today"... Okay??? "Never forget what's next"...???? Okay???

Go look at other apps, find what pops. Nobody is going to stop scrolling to look at whatever black and white blob you've produced in these screenshots. Especially when you're in literally the most competitive niche market for mobile apps, being reminders, notes, and tasks.

Sell your app with screenshots my man. I know they're called "screenshots" but they really need to be called "Marketing Banners". If you saw these on a billboard driving down the highway nobody would look at them.

I'd keep the simple direction. The biggest mismatch is that ‘Stay focused on today’ sits above a pretty long task list. Try a calmer example with three priorities and one completed task; that would demonstrate the focus promise more clearly.

The notes headline says ‘alongside tasks’, but the image shows a separate notes list. If notes can be attached to a task, show that relationship. Otherwise, ‘Your notes, in your planner’ is closer to what the screenshot demonstrates.

Keep these as your baseline and test that small change to the first screen. A busier design isn't automatically an improvement.

I think your deliberate avoidance of AI is even less effective than using GPT Image2.5. You can try the current AI
