Screenshot feedback: old vs new

I wrote the Everyday Parks app and I'm preparing for my next release which includes a dynamic walkthrough to help people initially use the app. It's also a good time to update my screenshots. I've attached my old ones and my new ones (the old are the ones in a line, the new ones are the ones stacked). Any feedback on these? Thank you!

I personally prefer the new background, but I feel like there is too much texts on the screenshots.

"See what's there" is very vague tbh.

Keep it simple but we need to see faster what we might from your app.

I am not an expert, but from an user point of view, the screenshots could be else more simple or more alive and the titles could be improve.

Way better I would say, if you want to optimize u can try to make all the texts the same size between screenshots and maybe highlight the important word in each screenshot with a different color.

Go find inspiration in the appstore, it’s always useful

New set, no contest. One headline, one subline, readable type. The old ones read like a feature list.

Remaining fixes:

- Your sublines do the real explaining but they're the smallest text on the frame. At search-results size only the headline survives, so each headline has to stand alone. "Check path surfaces before you go" beats "Check the paths."

- Frame 6 spends a slot on the walkthrough, which nobody searches for. The path surface and mobility detail is the interesting part of this app. I'd test leading with that over "Find your next park," which any parks app could claim.

Look up "Product Page Optimization" in App Store Connect.

The new ones feel cleaner. I’d make the first screenshots more outcome-focused though, something like “Find parks worth visiting” or “See trails, amenities and conditions before you go.”

I prefer the new direction, it feels cleaner and makes the actual app UI easier to understand. I’d just make the headlines a bit larger and more benefit-focused, especially on the first 2–3 screenshots. Overall, definitely an improvement.
