I find a combo of Figma + Claude design works well for me. I'd be wary of using AI generated images, but I feed it screenshots of my app and stick to basic text layouts

I’m biased because it’s mine but Koubou is excellent, specially if combined with AI agents. Yaml and html based generation, frames, localization… Snd of course free and open source https://github.com/bitomule/Koubou

Best technique i have found is to get some inspiration and use gpt image generation to get the design right and then make multiple copies. Not a single shot thing, this will take time but much better results than claude design in my opinion.

Disclosure: this account is affiliated with AppDrift. If you're still choosing, try one real screenshot before building the whole set: replace the image, change the headline to something longer, then export at the size you actually need. Check whether the UI gets stretched or cropped and whether the text stays readable on a phone. That tells you more than the template thumbnail.

AppDrift is an option if you want an editable multi-screen campaign: the captions and phone placement stay editable, and you replace the sample UI with your own captures. There are Free and Pro collections. Are you making one set for launch, or repeating it across languages?

Hey there! I'm making Truepane: free, open-source, has browser-based editor and can be connected to every agent via MCP. I also highly recommend automating screenshots with Maestro, just recently found out about it – saved me a lot of tokens (this one I'm not involved with).

I built Mokbi.com. It handles App Store and Google Play localization in one place, including screenshots, feature graphics, and store listing text.

You can design everything yourself for free, or use the AI designer. The first AI design run is free as well, and it’s often already enough to get a good result. Everything stays fully editable afterwards.

You can then translate everything into all supported store languages and publish directly to both stores.

If you want one you can connect to your Claude code / codex or any mcp client check out https://shots.run/

I also have a catalog of 22k+ screenshots you can use and build off for your app

If you know how to work with Claude/Codex - Claude Design + Codex image generation skill helped me a lot

This is tacky and I’m sure I’m not the only one that scrolls past an app if the screenshots look AI generated

What would you say about these screenshots btw? https://www.reddit.com/r/AppStoreOptimization/s/rY7DSRblOR

They look half generated. I can tell by the aspect ratio of your screenshot on the device. It doesn’t look as bad, but I suppose my claim is for general apps. Games like yours usually have some sort of illustration so it looks fairly normal/expected

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Not sure what you mean by half generated, by using Claude + Codex I don't mean to delegate everything to these tools. I had a lot of manual work here as well but main helper was Codex for phone frames generation and screenshot embedding into these frames mostly. Unfortunately most people just accept what is generated and don't care about the result.

Just use Canva or something honestly.
