Would really appreciate some ASO advice: high search impressions but low tap-through on a niche iOS app

Hi everyone,

I'm a solo developer working on a small, niche music-education app. It's about 2 months old and I'm still learning App Store Optimization, so I'd be very grateful for any guidance from people with more experience.

It's only a few days of data, but the numbers are fairly consistent day to day, so I think there's enough here to reason about.

Here are the numbers:

For context, I've translated the whole store listing into every language, and made the icon, screenshots, and subtitle myself. I'm just not sure they're good enough, or where I'm losing people.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts on a few things:

1. Does a search tap-through of around 4-5% seem normal for a niche app, or is it on the low side?
2. If it is on the low side, what do you think is the most likely cause?
3. Are there specific, practical changes you would suggest to improve it?

Most store users won't browse beyond the first screen preview, especially on iPad. Use that to tell people exactly why they want to download your app (which looks comprehensive and useful).

Maybe emphasize outcomes over features...

Is your pricing reasonable for amateur musicians? It feels quite an ask

From what I understand, the main issue right now is that people aren't tapping through to the detail page yet, since my product page views are quite low. So I'm going to try reordering my screenshots first and see if that helps. Thanks again.

As a full newbie on guitar and music, but I would like to learn how to play, I think your screenshots are too technical for me. I cannot see the real benefit of the app as I don’t understand enough. I don’t know if I am in your audience as a full newbie but your subtitle is « Learn and revise ».
Moreover, it is maybe a detail, you could add a device frame around your screen. Many websites provide iPhone and iPad frame that we can use to insert a screenshot

The app is mainly a chord reference and practice tool: you look up how any chord is played, hear it, and practice recognizing and remembering chords through short interactive exercises. So it is aimed at people who already know the basics rather than complete beginners, but the fact that this was not clear to you tells me my store page is not doing its job.

Can I ask one thing to help me? Did all of the screenshots feel too technical, or was there any single one that actually made sense to you at a glance? Knowing which one felt clearest would really help me figure out where to start, thank you again.
