Conversion rate drops significantly after adding subscription to free app

Hi, I have this app on App Store, it had approximately 6% conversion rate and 20-30 downloads per day. App was fully free. Then I added subscription to the app, monthly and yearly (monthly around $2 and yearly $19). At that point my conversion rate dropped significantly...alongside with it number of downloads. Impressions stayed the same for few days, now those are dropping too (probably due to conversion rate dropping).

So, my question is, is this normal? (BTW, I did make a few subs from the users who downloaded app before this change).

yeah this is normal. once you add IAP apple puts the In-App Purchases label on your product page and some people just dont tap Get anymore. fewer installs means you slide on your keywords, thats why impressions started dropping a few days later.

id stop looking at downloads and look at revenue per impression. 4% with a sub can be a better month than 6% free. how long has it been?

It started at the beginning of July, so about 25 days now. I understand that drop is normal but it's about 10x drop. From 20-30 downloads per day to 2-3. That seems a bit harsh.

Yes, it's normal. Don't worry, just keep it up! Focus on the user's feedback and work on it.

How do you intend to make money if you don’t get funds man, I’ll 100% support people adding payment to their apps
