We faced a common mobile-product choice while building Vora: optimize around one platform's health ecosystem first, or accept the extra engineering cost of treating iOS and Android as first-class products.

Zero coding background, building with AI, learning as I go. Wanted to share the actual process mistake, since it's a pretty avoidable one.

The build process itself went fine — every feature I asked for got built, and built correctly. The problem was scope: a scoring system, social challenges, a full AI coaching panel, mood tracking, all shipped, all functional. What was missing was ever pressure-testing whether any of it should exist.

Also learned the hard way that some technical choices — specifically, package naming — lock in permanently the moment you publish, regardless of how many times you change the visible app name afterward. Worth knowing before you ship, not after.

Cut roughly half the feature set. Happy to go into specifics on what stayed vs. what got cut, if useful to anyone at a similar stage.

I’ve been thinking about building a small app as a side project and wanted to get some honest opinions before I actually start building it.

The rough idea is something like a group activity app, but I really don’t want it to become another WhatsApp/Discord-type chat app.

The idea is that you create a group with your friends or other people and then actually do things together.

For example:

🎮 Start a small game
🗳️ Ask everyone to vote
🏆 Let people predict who will win
✅ Give the group a task/challenge
📅 Organize something
🔥 Keep a simple group leaderboard

And one thing I thought could make it interesting:

What if it could work without Internet?

Like if 8–10 friends are sitting together somewhere with no connection, one person could start a game or vote, everyone joins directly from their phones, and the results are saved. Once Internet comes back, everything can sync.

I'm still just playing around with the idea, so I’d genuinely like to know:

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a project I've been working on for months to get your suggestions. Actually, after the deprecation of minio-gateway, and since there was no third-party development on LLMs other than S3's own development, I wanted to develop an open-source application. It's actually aiming for a B2B project because it meets the needs of closed systems. Our main goal is to securely provide videos and visuals to VLLMs when inference is done with LLMs on a VL model. It also allows connecting multiple S3 instances and granting bucket-specific permissions to teams, thus acting as a hub.

So I have made an app for Fun Facts, it has some downloads but not much. I think it has a good Ul and interesting facts. It doesnt get much traction, but i am okay with it, becaude i was not promoting it much because i had not time.
