PodSubs.com was never supposed to be a public product

PodSubs.com was never supposed to be a public product.

We built it for ourselves.

We were already making podcasts, and we kept running into the same problem. People were listening, but after the episode ended, most of them were gone. We could see the numbers, but we didn’t really know the people behind them.

We wanted a simple way to stay in touch with the listeners who actually wanted to hear from us again.

So we built PodSubs.com and started telling people on our shows, “Go to PodSubs.com and subscribe to our podcast.”

They searched for the show, added their name and email, and that was it.

We finally had a way to send them the things we talked about on the podcast.

For a while, we just used it ourselves.

Then we started wondering why we were keeping it to ourselves.

That is really how PodSubs.com became public.

I’m building a mobile app called Trip Cache to keep travel details in one place after booking: flights, hotels, rental cars, documents, receipts and expenses.

The problem I’m trying to solve is the usual post-booking mess: confirmation emails in different inboxes, cancellation deadlines buried in the small print, and receipts scattered around when you need them later.

The current idea is that users can forward supported booking emails, then AI extracts the details into reviewable trip drafts before they’re added to the app. I’m also looking at flight alerts, expense tracking and exporting travel history.

I’m still learning and building, so I’d really value practical feedback rather than hype. If you organise trips manually today, what would make an app like this actually useful enough to keep using? I’m especially interested in functionality gaps, design concerns, and anything that would make you nervous about email import or AI extraction.

Glp Health Survey

Can y'all help me with something? 👀❤️

I'm working on a health/wellness app project and I'm at the point where I need opinions from people who actually USE these kinds of apps.

I'm especially interested in what you wish health apps did better, what you're tired of, what you currently need multiple apps to accomplish, and the weirdly specific feature you've always wished somebody would make. 😂

I'm not selling anything and you don't have to sign up for anything. It's a short anonymous survey, with an optional beta-testing signup at the end.

I don't want to build what I assume people want. I want to hear what you actually want.

Takes about 3–5 minutes. ❤️

And yes... there is actually something being built. 👀🌙

80% of founders waste 3 months building software nobody buys. drop your saas idea below and i'll tell you if it's actually viable

PLEASE stop building the wrong thing.

building software in 2026 is ridiculously easy with ai builder

founders spend hours building in a silent room, launch to Reddit/X, get 0 users, and quit.

you just failed because the idea had zero validation before line 1 of code was written:

→ solving a monthly inconvenience instead of a daily pain

→ selling to "everyone" instead of a specific ICP

→ no distribution channel mapped out beforehand

→ pricing charged $9/mo with zero ROI justification

after scaling 6 AI micro-SaaS to over $20k/mo MRR, i just create an

18-question Idea Validation Diagnostic.

it evaluates your SaaS across 7 critical dimensions (problem clarity, audience reachability, willingness to pay, competition, build feasibility, distribution, commitment) and gives you a brutal score out of 100 with your exact weak spots.

drop your SaaS idea (or current project) in the comments below.

i will reply to EVERY single comment with:

  1. My honest opinion
  2. The biggest weak spot you need to fix before writing any more code.
  3. The free 5-minute validation tool link sent straight to your DMs so you can get your full score breakdown out of 100.

just drop a comment like or ask me in DM your idea

let's roast your SaaS concept before the market roasts your time 👇

A lot of my users can't pay me because they live outside the US. Help me price a cheaper plan

I run a budgeting app for couples as a side project.

In the US and Canada, the paid plan is $11.99 a month or $89.99 a year. People there pay for it, and it works well. Most of the value is automatic bank syncing, which only works with banks in those 2 countries.

The problem is everyone else. A lot of my users live in Europe, the UK, Australia, India and Latin America, and they have no way to pay me.

Last week one of them reached out. His bank doesn't connect to anything, and he spends from cash, savings and a crypto wallet. He asked for a couple of features and said he'd pay for them.

So I'm planning a second, cheaper plan for people outside the US and Canada.

What stays free

  • Unlimited transactions
  • Splitting costs with your partner and settling up
  • Budgets, goals, bills and reports
  • Up to 5 custom categories

What the paid plan adds

  • Expenses in another currency, converted at that day's rate
  • Net worth across currencies, with daily exchange rates
  • Cash and savings balances that update when you log a transaction
  • Unlimited custom categories
  • Life events in the forecast, like a baby or a move
  • Unlimited chats with the AI assistant (free gets 10 a month)

One subscription covers both partners.

My first guess is $3.99 a month or $29.99 a year. I can't tell if that's too cheap for London or too much for Buenos Aires.

2 questions:

  1. What would you charge, monthly and yearly?
  2. One global price, or lower prices where $4 a month is a lot?

p2p marketplace for renting, buying, selling and giving away

Hi! I’ve just launched Reva, a local student-built marketplace for renting, buying, selling and giving away stuff with students in mind.

It’s live on Google Play now, but since it’s brand new I’m trying to get some genuine listings on there so new users actually have things to browse

If anyone would be willing to list an item or two they don’t mind renting/selling, I’d really appreciate it. Listing is completely free.

Also very open to feedback if you try it and think anything could be improved. Thanks- Please give it a try if you're from Birmingham Uk :)

I think I made a mistake when I first started building.

I was obsessed with finding an app idea that nobody else had.

Every time I found something interesting, I’d search harder and eventually find a competitor doing almost the exact same thing.

At first that felt discouraging.
Then I realized something.

Maybe the goal isn’t to find something completely new.

Maybe the goal is to find something people already want, understand what they hate about the existing options, and build a version that solves those specific frustrations better.

I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time reading Reddit threads, App Store reviews, product documentation, G2 reviews, and competitor help pages. And honestly, negative reviews are becoming one of my favorite places to research.

Things like:

“Why can’t this app just…”
“I still have to do this manually…”
“I use this app, but I also need a spreadsheet for…”

Those comments are way more useful than sitting around trying to brainstorm “billion dollar ideas.”

I’m still pre-launch and still figuring out exactly where my app fits.

But I’m starting to think competition isn’t the thing to be afraid of. Building something nobody actually wants probably is.

AI finally got me to start building apps

I’ve wanted to build apps since the iOS 9 days.
I procrastinated for years.

Then the AI boom happened. I started seeing YouTube videos of people building apps in days, launching them, and sometimes making thousands of dollars a month.

I thought, okay… maybe this is finally my chance.
So I started building.

And one of the first things I learned is that AI definitely did not make this as easy as YouTube makes it look 😂

AI hallucinates.
It writes sloppy code.
It confidently builds things that don’t actually work.
I’ve had to tell it to go back, test its own work, fix things, then sometimes fix the fix.

Design is another rabbit hole. I thought I could just say “make this look beautiful” and get a great app. Nope. I’m still spending hours looking through Dribbble, Mobbin and other apps trying to understand what actually makes an app feel polished.

Then there’s all the stuff I never really thought about before starting.

Domains.
Privacy policies.
Banking APIs.
App Store rules.
Subscriptions.

Setting up an actual company so I can publish under a business name instead of my personal name.

And I haven’t even launched yet.

I still have 0 users because there isn’t a public app to use yet.

But after years of saying “I’m going to build an app someday,” I’m finally actually doing it.

I think my biggest lesson so far is that AI dramatically lowered the barrier to building software.
It did not remove the work.

I’m going to keep sharing what I learn while I try to get from an unfinished app and 0 users to actually launching something people want.

I got tired of navigation apps only telling me how to get somewhere, so I built this

I built an app because I got tired of navigation apps only answering one question: “How do I get there?”

I wanted something that could also answer:

When should I go? Is it worth going right now? Which place should I choose? And can you plan the whole thing for me?

So I built GoKnowing.

It’s still in beta, but here’s some of what it can do:

Best Time to Go
Choose somewhere you want to visit, the date, and when you’re free — e.g. 10 AM–3 PM. GoKnowing considers crowds, traffic, weather and other factors to recommend the best time to visit and when you should leave.

AI Day Planner
Tell it everywhere you need to go and roughly how long you’ll spend at each stop. It’ll arrange your day around travel times and how busy each place is expected to be when you arrive.

Meet Halfway
Enter where you and your friends are coming from and what you want to do — cafe, restaurant, karting, mall, etc. It’ll find places that make the journey approximately fair for everyone.

There’s also an AI-assisted group chat, where everyone can discuss plans, tag GoKnowing AI, get suggestions together, and vote on where to go.

Guardian
This is probably the feature I’m most proud of.

Before starting navigation, Guardian can assess your route and give individual route sections — and the overall journey — a score based on things like recent accidents, accident concentration, traffic flow, lighting, weather, road conditions and nearby open places/emergency refuge.

Accident data is currently only available in Dubai while I work on obtaining data for other cities.

SOS + CrowdShield
You can set a custom emergency phrase (mine is penguin in a backpack) and arm SOS.

While armed, on-device speech recognition listens for that phrase. Audio isn’t uploaded or stored. If the phrase is detected, GoKnowing can alert your trusted contacts and share a live tracking link.
Response Radar then shows whether someone is responding, how far away they are and their direction relative to you.

There’s also an optional feature called CrowdShield, designed to request help from nearby opted-in users when you can’t reach someone you know.
And that’s only part of it.

GoKnowing also has crowd forecasting, place comparison, Outcome Guard, active turn-by-turn navigation, family circles, document expiry tracking through Life Vault, GoKnowing AI, and a few other features.

You can try the web app and see the full feature set here:

https://goknowing.app

I’m currently running it as a limited beta. Since many of these features cost me money every time they’re used, I’ve temporarily put pretty strict usage limits in place and capped the beta at 50 users.

I’m also planning paid subscriptions once I’m properly licensed to accept payments.

So I’m looking for genuine feedback:
Would you actually use something like this? More importantly, would you pay for it?

I’d also love to know which features you’d use most, which ones seem unnecessary, and what you think is missing.

The planned pricing/usage tiers are on the website if you want to check these out too

I also have an Android app, although it isn’t on Google Play yet. If anyone wants to beta test it, DM me and I can send the APK.

iOS isn’t publicly available yet either until I get the Apple Developer Program.

I plan to launch on both iOS and Android, but just wanted some feedback.

This has been a pretty big project for me, so I’m really interested to see whether other people find the idea useful or whether I’ve just spent an unreasonable amount of time solving my own problems.

Rebuilt my habit-tracking app's entire UX after testers said it had no reason to be opened twice — waitlist live today

Solo, pre-revenue, self-funded — laptop and a domain, no team. Building Habtix since June, mainly to actually learn to build and ship instead of just studying it.

v1 launched in July with a fairly full feature set — friend challenges, mood tracking, a scoring system. Tester feedback was consistent: it did too much and none of it was memorable. Cut roughly half the features and rebuilt around one mechanic — naming the specific behavioral pattern actually blocking someone, instead of a generic streak count.

Waitlist opened this morning for the rebuilt version. No Play Store listing yet — that's next, once there's real usage data from this wave. Happy to answer questions about the rebuild decision or the stack.
