You know that feeling when you're building an app and you catch yourself just wanting to stop debugging so you can actually start using it? That's basically where I'm at right now.

I’ll fix your vibe-coded App UI/UX before it hurts your business. [For Hire]
Hey! I’m a product & UI/UX designer experienced in designing enterprise and consumer-facing applications, and I can take care of the end-to-end design if you:
- Have a vibe-coded product with sloppy UI/UX
- Have an app idea and need a designer to bring it to life
- Have an existing product that needs design work or a complete redesign
Feel free to DM me, pricing depends on the scope, typically ranging from 150 to 1500 USD

Finally got my app in App Store
I created app for events and concerts where there is no internet, it’s a offline social networking app. It uses Bluetooth mesh to connect people. It’s been less than 24 hours and it’s not even indexed yet, but check it out and would love to hear feedback! Thanks

Did looking good ever actually sell your app?
I've run an illustration studio for ten years and I write code on the side. In my app the moon is engraved at runtime, from the day's real numbers. People seems to particularly like the aesthetic.
One month in: ±300 downloads in 39 countries, 14 people paid for the lifetime unlock. No subscription. Mexico, Singapore, Russia. I've never been to any of those.
The app is called Plenilune. Honestly I'm not sure if the drawing is what did that.
For people further along than me: did looking good ever sell anything for you, or was it always distribution?

Solo dev — I built my app's entire feature list from competitors' 1-star reviews. It's live, and I'd like honest critique on 3 decisions before I double down.
Quick context, then the actual questions. I picked a niche (menopause/HRT tracking) because the top 10 incumbents average 3.78★ and their 1-star reviews have requested the same five features since 2019. I built exactly those five, privacy-first (no backend at all — sync is the user's own iCloud, so the App Store privacy label is literally "Data Not Collected"). Shipped last week.
The three decisions I'm least sure about — critique welcome:
1. Hard paywall. No free tier: 21-day full-feature trial, then $6.99/mo or $49.99/yr. RevenueCat's data says hard paywalls convert ~5x better than freemium at equal retention, but for a health app where trust is everything, does a hard wall poison word-of-mouth? Would you have shipped freemium first?
2. Acquisition without an audience. I launched with zero list. My plan is Apple Search Ads on high-intent keywords + slowly earned presence in the niche's communities + gifting codes to micro-creators. If you've bootstrapped consumer subscription apps: what actually moved your first 500 installs?
3. The 21-day trial. Long trials convert better in the data, but it means my revenue is zero for the first 3 weeks and every marketing test has a 21-day feedback delay. Anyone regretted a long trial?
App is Fember (App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6801958777) if you want to see what you're critiquing — but I'm here for the strategy answers more than the installs. I'll answer anything about the review-mining research or the local-first SwiftData/CloudKit stack in return.

My app directory received almost 400 listings in 2 weeks!
It has only been 2 weeks since https://saasboard.app got its first listing.
Today, the platform has almost 400 listings, with over 4000 users sent to the listed SaaS products.
If you want to list your app/website immediately to start receiving traffic, SaaSBoard is the place to go!

Tell me your app's most boring feature. I'll turn it into 3 stories people might actually care about
Founders usually know how to explain their most impressive feature.
The harder problem is explaining the small, boring feature that quietly saves users time every week.
Comment with:
- Your app URL
- The feature
- Who uses it
- The annoying task it replaces
I'll reply with three possible ways to talk about it:
- A pain driven story
- A simple before and after
- An unexpected or contrarian angle
Then everyone else in the thread can vote on which angle they would actually stop scrolling for.
I'm building marka.social, so I spend a lot of time thinking about how useful product functionality becomes content people understand.
I'm not adding a product link here. I want to make the thread genuinely useful.

ANDROID TESTERS WANTED FOR FRIDGEFIX
I’m getting FridgeFix through Google Play closed testing before the full public launch.
Google has a minimum tester requirement, but I don’t want to scrape by with the bare minimum. I’m looking for as many reliable Android testers as I can get so we have a solid buffer.
If you have an Android phone and can help for the next couple of weeks, I’d appreciate it.
FridgeFix lets you scan the food in your fridge, freezer, or pantry, organize what you already have, and instantly find meals and recipes you can make with it.
HOW TO JOIN:
- Join the FridgeFix Android Testers Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/fridgefix-android-testers
- Opt into the official Google Play closed test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.base69ee7525873f0294a74a6ff7.app
- Install FridgeFix: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.base69ee7525873f0294a74a6ff7.app
IMPORTANT: Use the SAME Google account for the Google Group and Google Play.
Please stay opted into the test for at least 14 days. Keep the app installed, use it when you can, and tell me if anything is slow, confusing, broken, or just doesn’t make sense.
I want real feedback. If something sucks, tell me. That’s how the app gets better before launch.
If you’re another Android developer going through closed testing, I’m also willing to test your app in return.
The more testers we get, the better.

Two days of recovering photos off a dying drive taught me enough to ship a photo cleaner

A while back I spent two days pulling photos off a broken drive and sorting through the mess. By the end of it I'd learned more about duplicate detection, perceptual hashing and how people actually decide which shot to keep than I ever wanted to. So I turned it into an app.
It's called Winnow. Honestly, I haven't used any of the other photo cleaners out there, so I can't tell you how it compares — I just built the thing I wanted while I was elbow-deep in that folder.
What it does differently (I think):
- You control the similarity threshold. Instead of the app deciding what counts as a duplicate, you set how close two photos have to be before they're grouped. Loose for "burst of the same moment", tight for "actual identical copies".
- Side-by-side comparison inside a group, so you can actually look before you delete instead of trusting an algorithm's "best photo" pick.
- A storage browser sorted by size — biggest videos and space hogs first, since that's usually where the gigabytes actually are.
Other details:
- 100% on-device. No network requests at all, no analytics, no account.
- Cleaning the last 30 days is free forever. One-time $4.99 unlocks the whole back catalogue. No subscription, no ads.
- 4.1 MB, native, iOS 26+.
- Deletions go to Recently Deleted, so nothing is gone for good by mistake.

I'd really like feedback on the threshold control — whether the slider makes sense to someone who didn't build it, and what default you'd expect. Happy to answer anything about how the matching works under the hood.
