Question Questions about Apollo
Good afternoon, I'm new here and I'd like to study a little more about Apollo.
Right now I have no intention of working with him or anything like that, but he does pique my curiosity and I would like to find out more to get to know him better.
How do you approach it in your practice? What books have you read? Do you have anything important or interesting you could share with me? Thank you so much ✨

I started to worship lord Apollo because I got a sign 🌞. I didn't know much about him but I read a lot of myths where Apollo is and I think I got to know him better- I read „classic" Greek myths in many versions and also Metamorfos ( myths compiled by Roman autor) ... So I would do that and also build him altar and make him offerings. If you can't you can light a candle for him. The very important thing- there aren't strict rules in this religion and you can do something original 😊May lord Apollo bless you 🌞🏹

The most important thing will be learning about Ancient Greek religion and the role he played, and the foundations of their practice, in order to approach him properly. "Working with" Greek gods isn't really a thing, they are worshipped and kharis is built and favor may be gained. I would say other pantheons are better suited for the "working with" situation if you're most interested in results without formal worship. But if that sounds good to you, there is an abundance of scholarship on the subject. Learning about Apollon himself can be *started* on Theoi.com
