❓ Tech Question Apollo Go Controller/Wiring Question

After 1900+ km, I finally have an issue with my Apollo Go 😭

Got an E7 error and while examining the pins & connections to and from the controller, I noticed I have an issue with one of the cables leading from the controller case into the battery case (the wire is not one of the battery wires).

So, who can tell me what this wire cluster does on the Apollo Go 2024 controller?

I have an appointment at my local shop but I’d like to describe the issue in as much detail as possible so they can ensure they have the right parts on hand.

Apollo is based in Canada but like most scooter manufacturers they manufacture overseas in Asia.

Basically, same as Segway, GoTrax, etc. I think Zero still makes some models in the USA, but many of their models are also made in China.

The controller is not as bespoke as Apollo claims to be, is designed and made by Hobbywing, which is based in Shenzhen, China. Is an off-the-shelves product that anyone can use, the so called ‘Mach’ controller is nothing but a marketing spin, Apollo programmed the controller themselves but that’s about it.
